Give me a break .... Now the Patriots haters are going to cry about this ? Clearly He didn't maintain control. I see it all the time. He was stripped. Give credit to the defense.

So when is it a catch, I have seen guys catch the ball and toss it to the ref in a second. Jennings play for the Packers in New York was ruled a TD and it looked to be a drop.
Should at least be a review.

WHAT WAS WORSE

It's 3rd and 1. He has all day, scrambling around the pocket. NO ONE is in front of him.

He could of easily picked up 4-5 yards and called a time out. Giving the Ravens 1st down and 20 secs to go 15 yards for a TD. thats 3 plays.

OR

Lee Evans making the catch in the endzone and not securing the ball. The defender literally just swated it out. It was embarassing...

:ohno::ohno::ohno:

Neither, the worst call was the inside draw on third down before the last drive

If anyone thinks Ravens outplayed the Pats or that the Ravens should of won that game is crazy... Pats had three costly turnovers, Ravens had one turnover that didnt hurt them at all.

Pats were one play away from putting game away twice.. Pats should of been up by 14+ too at many points in this game..

Justice was served, thats all..

P.S Flacco played well.. 306 total passing yards.

Flaco getting the first down would have opened up numerous opportunites to Rice Williams or others to advance the ball to short yardage goal line. Critical in not getting a fresh set of downs that deep in NE terrotory with the clock winding down.

The rule is that you have to catch the ball with control and make a football move. If He had maintained control when He turned but He was stripped. I have lost so many games when a guy gets stripped and often it's not even nearly as obvious as that play. The FG kicker missed an easy kick ... Blame him but not the Refs ! I really had no dogs in the fight as I might have won more $$ if the Ravens had won.

It looked to me like he caught it and made a step.. All I have posted, is, I would like to have seen it reviewed.. How would that have been unfair ?

Not in the end zone kermit. Not only do you have to catch and make a football move (as you have to do on the field of play) you also have to have control through the play which he clearly did not.

I've seen many similar plays where the receiver clearly caught the ball in the end zone and made a football move and had the football stripped like this one had.

Of course the booth reviewed it. That's their job. What makes you think they didn't ?

Unless I had a blackout or something, play was not stopped and the play wasn't reviewed.. if it was reviewed we wouldn't be posting about this
