How much will BSU miss Dante Love? He was best receiver and has to be on their minds even though his surgery was a success. Still believe they are able to handle Kent easiy though.

They outscored Indiana 28-7 after Love went down. He was without a doubt the best play maker they had. But they still have Nate Davis spreading the ball around, MiQuale Lewis running the ball, and Darius Hill catching the passes. But Ball State is giving up 4.9 yards per rush and Kent State's two-headed rushing attack of Edelmen (QB) and Jarvis might be able to keep Ball State's offense off the field. But I doubt it. BOL!

One interesting fact about this game is that Ball State can light it up early. They average 10.5 points in the 1st quarter (that is 17th in the nation). Kent State gives up 11.25 points in the 1st quarter (115 in the nation). If Kent St gives up points early, I don't see them bouncing back to cover on the road.

Even without Love, Nate Davis still has plenty of targets. He has thrown TDs to five different receivers this season.

For what it is worth, here was my thoughts about this game:

There is something special about this Ball St offense (averaging 41.5 a game). Kent States defense has been bad to this point, and it is going to get carved up again. UL Lafayette (44 pts), Iowa St (48 pts) and now Ball St (??? 55 pts in my opinion). Eugene Jarvis, one of KSU's bright spots, is still on a bad wheel so they will rely on their below average passing game which can't come from behind.

I have been on BSU all year. I think they cover this game.
17 points, I think is there high spread this year but they have a QB that might be able to play on Sundays. If the WR can keep catching the ball they could have a blow out game.
I might go 10 units on BSU.

Should be a emotional game for Ball St as I'm sure they dedicate the game to him.

Kent State has the running game to grind out some points and keep Ball State off the field and thus reduce their scoring which in turn will hinder covering a large number. I think Kent State is a point or two undervalued on the spread but not enough to bet.
