Well, had a pair of winners yesterday and here's three sides for Wednesday (lines from Cascade):
(1) St. Louis (Mulder) minus 1.18 over Philly (Myers) _ Cards' Big Three of Pujols, Edmonds and Rolen is a combined 19-of-41 lifetime against Myers, with eight extra base hits.
(2) Pittsburgh (Duke) minus 1.03 over Milwaukee (Ohka) _ We'll side with the talented young southpaw Duke (1.81 ERA last season) to give the Pirates their first victory of the seasn and avert a three-game sweep.
(3) Boston (Beckett) minus 1.39 over Texas (Loe) _ If the Rangers were pitching Cameron Diaz instead Kameron Loe in tonight's rubber game, we might be inclined side with home-standing Texas for "sentimental" reasons. However, Beckett makes his Red Sox debut in his home state of Texas and we'll take the Bosox to win.
All today's plays are single unit plays.
YTD: 2-0 (plus 2 units)
