With Oklahoma State and Duke both by 8 - the books must have taken it up the rear. Wisconson middled the line move too.

Duke game got a lot of pushes, Bucknell game really blasted them. They probably only won the +8 1/2. So that is 3 brutal games. Yes, they took a hit, no doubt.

To be honest, a day like today could wreck a week, let alone 3 days. You are taking making juice against paying all bets on 3 games. Let's ask our insider, The SHRINK, since Old Dom is out he can't be too busy. Well, how bad was it Ken?

Thanks and Best Wishes...OF:howdy:

before you start feeling too bad for books

duke/miss st

went down for a win at many spots.......money at 8' swamped all other numbers...-7' and -8

some got lucky and pushed 9 on wiscy...

at any rate......books always get the money eventially during the ncaa tourney...sometimes early.....sometimes later in the rounds (sweet 16, elite 8)

but they will get it.......

If I was to guess, the So. Ill cost them huge, I mean really huge. Sort of like this, So. Ill lands 8, from 9 1/2 to 7 1/2, probably lost every bet that did not tie, a sure kick right in the groin. Next Duke lands 8. Probably no loser here either, while doubled over a forearm shiv to back of head. Then the coup de grace, the Bucknell steam from 9 1/2 to 8. Might have some +8 1/2 losers, but not enough to make up for anyone who layed back or took early, rest tied. That is the lying on the ground twitching, jump in the air and stomp what life is left out of you. Plus other 1/2 middles, and all teasers hit. You are talking a mini Black Sunday.

On Friday Michigan State won by 8, not a good outcome for the books either.

10% (really 5%-total play) doesn't offset 20-1 middles or 10-1 sides, not to mention shoppers. They got slaughtered. Maybe to the point of looking where your $ is. A test withdrawel may be in order (with smaller outfits). GL-you may need it. Shalom..the paranoid Rabbi

I think the books had a good week. SHarp action might have hit some # moves, but the NCAA is to a large extent about public $, much like the super bowl. As dime stated I am sure the public had no problem laying 8.5 on duke. Let's not forget all the favs. in the first round not getting to the #.
