I would have called it with 48 points scored.

They score 48 points in first 35 minutes then score 7 points in the last 25 mins.

get what you deserve taking overs that high in the nFL

Over was the right side...congrats on your under bet....

NO showed some class by not running up the score...if it were the other way around, BB would have gotten you the over...

VD, you can post what you want but your obsession with Belichick (in this thread and others) is starting to look kinda childish and bitchy.

I don't mind you writing what you feel, and you're probably right .... but still ... think about it.

I have no obsession with BB...but the stuff he does draws attention to himself...I don't mind you disagreeing with me, but I am just commenting on the facts...

Is he a good coach? Yes
Was he caught cheating? Yes
Does he like poring it on? Yes
Was his 4th and 2 debatable? Yes
Is his defense suspect? Yes
Are the Pats a good team? Yes

In the beginning of the year I said they would miss the playoffs because of their defense and they haven't won a road game yet after 12 weeks...

BB often pulled pulled Brady out shortly after half time in 2007. They ran up the score alright, in the first half. Sometimes they barely passed in the 2nd half. Although there may be a game or two where one can argue he ran up the score, that nonsense is simply more about mythology than truth.

That's fine, VD. I am not arguing, just saying.

I just don't want you (for your sake, not mine) to start sounding like Flamingo Kid.

I had the under 58 and I never thought I had much of a chance to win the bet. However I see this happen quite often when a team has a huge lead. Team ahead run the ball and eat up the clock while team behind throw desperate long passes and go 3 and out. Also the team way behind spurn FG's and go for TD. Note that Pats had an easy field goal but went for TD and ended up scoring zilch !

When I looked at this game I thought the action would be pretty split between the Pats and Saints and thought that if the books needed anything to come in it would be the under. I stayed away from the total and just had the Saints, but I would think that by the game staying under the books made a killing.

I mean, it was a chase game for so many people. A long week in football that started Thursday, and if anyone was down, they will chase on this MNF game.

That is what must have made it a high volume game ... ESPECIALLY for credit shops that settle on Tuesday.

I gotta agree with Viejo about BB

he would've put more points on the board if he wasn't down 3 possessions. How is that debatable?
Two years ago he would be up two possessions and go for it 4th and 1 in the red zone

I didn't argue with what he wrote. Nobody did.

Belichick will rub it in if he has a grudge. He will stick it to Jeff Fisher, Mangini, Dungy, Wade Philips, Holmgren and a few others.

Belichick wouldn't have stuck it to Payton, though. Coaches have fraternities and coaches have grudges. They're human.
