I spoke with Mr. Hill, the owner of Dimeplayer.
We talked about many things and like most owners coming out of the gate, he has high expectations and a vision for what he wants Dimeplayer to be.
The Good
Mr. Hill was very surprised by our downgrade. He was under the impression that he could only move up from the previous version of Dimeplayer. He says one of the reasons he left SBT was to improve the way clients were treated. He was tired of pokey payouts and CS complaints.
So far no one has had a negative complaint about DP. They appear to have experienced a seamless transition from World Gaming and EFS processing to their independent IQL setup and CS center.
The Bad
This is an entirely new Costa Rican book set up by those who previously invested in a glorified affiliate program. New lines, site, software, CS center and financial backers all leave question marks going into football season. It's not as if this is the same DimePlayer under new backers. This is a new shop from top to bottom.
As you guys have noticed, the lines tightened up the day after we spoke. It's definitely a positive move but is symbolic of a faulty booking model.
In Hill’s defense, I should state that he claimed to be aware of the soft lines and the over the top perks. He says we will not see this forever and it is how he is getting DP’s name out there and building his reputation.
But, even after the lines firmed up we can still find many scalps. We don’t know if these guys can actually book or what would happen when an investor wants to see a profit.
Bonuses and betting limits are very high. The 5x roll-over is a non-factor because the site is practically a how-to-scalp course. They do have a 30-day rule which I believe to be a false security blanket. As threads like this become more frequent it [30 days] will not keep the vets away. I also think DP is wrongly assessing player/scalper loyalty.
It is very possible DP could have a great foots season and settle in to a long term plan. Mr. Hill’s financial backing could indeed be so great that they can give money away for years and chalk it up as lessons learned. We don’t know. I would not feel good about sending any player to a book that has yet to settle into its niche.
They will be watched closely. New marketing should attract players who won’t wonder what the shop will offer from day to day.

Much to the chagrin of the DimePlaya shill, TruePlaya, Dozer is probably on the money here (for the most part).
One other thing Dozer should do is contact Sportingbet to confirm that DimePlayer left of their own volition, and make sure that Sportingbet didn't give them the boot because of low cash reserves or some other relevant reason.
