I could go on and on with how great my experience has been with them...but I'll wait to hear others before jumping on this one.

I have looked at the lines since you posted about them a while back. Looks like they have become much less opinionated of late?

Yes, the lines are much more normal now. Therefore no reason to even think about betting there, why chance it ?

I would have to agree with you that the lines are a lot tighter now...but they are by far the best lines available. They often have the favorites now at a lower line then Pinnacle. There are still plenty of opportunities to scalp (although I agree that they are not as profitable as they were a couple weeks ago). I lost today on TB but picked up a nice +110 line on Cincinnati.

The big thing for me is receiving the $5k payout max on several occassions now and every time I have been paid in less than 30 minutes. Pretty impressive in comparison with some of the other books I have dealt with.

Trueplaya,

Now maybe you begin to understand why it's not a good idea to tell everyone what books you use for scalping. If you hadn't told everyone how soft the lines were at dimeplayer, they'd proabably still be soft today.

I guess from a selfish standpoint you are right...and I am still naive to how these places operate. I was more into sharing info on forums and trying to help others in my position. I do this as a form of recreation and not for a living so I have a lot to learn.

I would have to agree with you that the lines did become less profitable after my posts. But I do still see 2-5 lines everyday that give me the opportunity to scalp.

And as I mentioned in my last post...the lines are great, but it is the fast payouts that I am most impressed with.

I spoke with Mr. Hill, the owner of Dimeplayer.

We talked about many things and like most owners coming out of the gate, he has high expectations and a vision for what he wants Dimeplayer to be.

The Good
Mr. Hill was very surprised by our downgrade. He was under the impression that he could only move up from the previous version of Dimeplayer. He says one of the reasons he left SBT was to improve the way clients were treated. He was tired of pokey payouts and CS complaints.

So far no one has had a negative complaint about DP. They appear to have experienced a seamless transition from World Gaming and EFS processing to their independent IQL setup and CS center.

The Bad
This is an entirely new Costa Rican book set up by those who previously invested in a glorified affiliate program. New lines, site, software, CS center and financial backers all leave question marks going into football season. It's not as if this is the same DimePlayer under new backers. This is a new shop from top to bottom.

As you guys have noticed, the lines tightened up the day after we spoke. It's definitely a positive move but is symbolic of a faulty booking model.

In Hill’s defense, I should state that he claimed to be aware of the soft lines and the over the top perks. He says we will not see this forever and it is how he is getting DP’s name out there and building his reputation.

But, even after the lines firmed up we can still find many scalps. We don’t know if these guys can actually book or what would happen when an investor wants to see a profit.

Bonuses and betting limits are very high. The 5x roll-over is a non-factor because the site is practically a how-to-scalp course. They do have a 30-day rule which I believe to be a false security blanket. As threads like this become more frequent it [30 days] will not keep the vets away. I also think DP is wrongly assessing player/scalper loyalty.

It is very possible DP could have a great foots season and settle in to a long term plan. Mr. Hill’s financial backing could indeed be so great that they can give money away for years and chalk it up as lessons learned. We don’t know. I would not feel good about sending any player to a book that has yet to settle into its niche.

They will be watched closely. New marketing should attract players who won’t wonder what the shop will offer from day to day.

Canuck...

I read that thread that you posted on this clown...unbelievable!

I do think this is a pretty good review of the book though. Seems to make sense. Only thing I would disagree with is that they changed their lines just because they talked to him.

Also, just because you can scalp their lines doesn't mean they won't make money. I got killed there yesterday but won at the other outs I was using to play the dog lines. I had all favorites and Tampa Bay with them yesterday and lost my shirt.

Good thing we have bill the clown here or else we would be stuck with only TruePlaya, "The Dimeplayer shill".

Or the General erasing the truth about a so called "watchdog" like a liar like Bill Dozer...it is a shame you don't let him get exposed on here like the other site.

I completely agree Lakerfan...

but the guy has flat out lied about himself...makes anything he says lose all credibility in my eyes. It is hard to have credibility when you lie and then claim to be a watchdog site. Doesn't mix...

I agree that his posts are insightful and he does great work...it is just a shame this site is covering up his lies and deceit.

Much to the chagrin of the DimePlaya shill, TruePlaya, Dozer is probably on the money here (for the most part).

One other thing Dozer should do is contact Sportingbet to confirm that DimePlayer left of their own volition, and make sure that Sportingbet didn't give them the boot because of low cash reserves or some other relevant reason.

Canuck,

This site doesn't beg for posts by asking the same answered Qs over and over. Go back to the tabloids and let me know when I become a 12 year old female Russian spy/circus midget.

TruePlayer,
Your views and comparisons are shared by DP management. You are playing at the same books DP mngt. claims to be modeling itself after. It would appear that their targeted marketing is acting with laser precision. =)

I'm glad you are enjoying DP. I know you aren't the only one. Hopefully they will overcome the beginner's bumps and offer the rest of us one more solid out.

Laker,
Thanks for feedback. I enjoy talking with actual players.

Hali,
You are right on with that suggestion. Unfortunately as you may have read, there are a couple issues being discussed regarding current SBT books. Once these are resolved I hope to have the opportunity to learn more about past business relations.

EFS definitely appeared caught off gaurd when DP left. I do believe they left on their own. But it's impossible to knwo whether part of the reason for leaving was to avoid sportingbet's cash reserve requirements.
