No shit, I am aat jury duty and the ‘victim’ is a trans person and refuses to answer to ‘mr.’ Drummer. He claims he doesn’t recognize Mr.

there is is a female witness who doesn’t answer to Ms.

So they sit there quiet when a question has Mr or she or he and act confused as if they have no idea who was being referred to.

Beyond shocked here... Cleveland isn't this the Rock and Roll capital or is that Detroit. Doesn't matter. I don't agree with all aspects of either side politically; so when something like this comes up, I know that I'm aging. This is a seasonal song that you don't hear in July, but wow!! Then again I have never been sexually molested and it's sad that those that have, relate that to this old traditional song.

Like I wrote to someone earlier:

Radical leftists (I do find a good percentage of liberals who I do not agree with but are not far gone to this point) spend 24 hours a day looking for something to be angered & triggered by. They lead the saddest lives.

Most here have little idea of how far each side (right or left ) can go.... If you have some deep knowledge of Air Traffic Controllers and lack of sleep under Regan; you MIGHT get a slightly better understanding... People's lives in the air: flights controlled by those with little to no sleep! It only takes one crash for you to lose a loved one and you might understand!! But you have NEVER walked an inch in those shoes!!!

Since you decided to pull “Baby it’s Cold Outside” from its playlist because someone was offended, I feel that these other holiday songs are also on the chopping block.

How did our generation ever survive?

1. I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus: subjecting minors to softcore porn, condones cheating

2. The Christmas Song: Open fire? Pollution. Folks dressed up like Eskimos? Cultural appropriation

3. Holly Jolly Christmas: Kiss her once for me? Unwanted advances

4. White Christmas? Racist

5. Santa Claus is Coming to Town: Sees you when you’re sleeping? Knows when you’re awake? Peeping Tom stalker

6. Most Wonderful Time of the Year: Everyone telling you be of good cheer? Forced to hide depression

7. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: Bullying

8. It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas: Forced gender-specific gifts: dolls for Janice and Jen and boots and pistols (GUNS!) for Barney and Ben

9. Santa Baby: Gold digger, blackmail

10. Frosty the Snowman: Sexist; not a snow woman

11. Do You Hear What I Hear: blatant disregard for the hearing impaired

12. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas: Make the yuletide GAY? Wow, just wow

13. Jingle Bell Rock: Giddy up jingle horse, pick up your feet: animal abuse

14. Mistletoe and Holly: Overeating, folks stealing a kiss or two? How did this song ever see the light of day?

15. Winter Wonderland: Parson Brown demanding they get married…forced partnership

16. I'll Be Home For Christmas: Not if you are homeless. That's just Insensitive

17. Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer: Homicide

Christian-themed kids show 'VeggieTales' is 'racist,' students claim

The Christian children's cartoon 'VeggieTales' has been labeled as 'dangerous' and promoting racial stereotypes for making the villains colored by a group of students at a California college's 'Annual Whiteness Forum.'

A group of students at a California college’s “Annual Whiteness Forum” labeled the Christian children’s cartoon “VeggieTales” as “dangerous” and promoting racial stereotypes for making the villains colored.
The forum at Cal State San Marcos is a project from Professor Dreama Moon’s class titled “The Communication of Whiteness.” Students called various things racist, including the NFL, women who support President Trump, and the popular animated cartoon that started in 1993 and always ended with Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber’s tagline, “Remember kids, God made you special and he loves you very much,” the College Fix reported.

A female student made the claim that by humanizing vegetables, the creators of VeggieTales were using the children’s programming to promote racial stereotypes by making the villains racial minorities.
“When supremacists aim to taint the way children think of people of color, it will work,” the poster titled “Children in the Church” reads.

“Whiteness in the Bible isn’t just seen as ‘power’ it’s seen as ‘good,’” it continues. “When kids see the good white character triumph over the bad person of color character they are taught that white is right and minorities are the source of evil.”
The female student who headed up the project reportedly said the evil characters sound ethnic or Latino, while the good characters sound white.
Just to be clear, the good guys, Bob and Larry, are red and green respectively, both of which are colors.
VANDERBILT CONDEMNS 'DEEPLY DISTURBING' WHITE SUPREMACY EMAIL SENT TO STUDENTS, FACULTY
Eric Metaxas, a best-selling author and former “VeggieTales” writer and narrator, gave his take on the forum.
"All vegetables are part of one race, even though they are of many colors. They are all descended from the same parents — the Adam and Eve of vegetables, who foolishly ate a forbidden fruit (irony?) and screwed everything up for all vegetables descended from them,” Metaxas told PJ Media. “At least I’m pretty sure that’s the story."

I lose faith in humanity a little more each day. After this week’s Rudolph controversy and vegans being mad about the saying “bring home the bacon” today might be the final straw. We’re going after VEGGIE TALES? Are you fucking kidding me? We’re calling Veggie Tales racist and “dangerous for children?” What is wrong with you people. Not only should these students from Cal State San Marcos be expelled, but they should be put on that deserted island I talked about yesterday where Denmark is exclusively putting their foreign criminals.
These brainless morons from Cal State who think they are smarter everyone else decided that because the villain vegetables were colored that it was a clear sign of racism. A valid argument for sure if not for the fact that the heroes of the show, Bob and Larry, are also vegetables who are green and red. Guess what those are….COLORS! Because everyone on the show is a fucking vegetable because it’s a kid’s show.

You know what we need? A plague. Natural selection to wipe out half of humanity in one snap. We need Thanos.

</header>People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is calling for an end to what it calls “speciesism,” or using animal names in negative contexts, such as “beat a dead horse” or “take the bull by the horns.”

“Words matter, and as our understanding of social justice evolves, our language evolves along with it,” PETA posted on its Twitter account on Tuesday, comparing these idioms to racist and homophobic language.
“Here’s how to remove speciesism from your daily conversations,” the tweet said:

PETA: Bringing Home the Bagels Since 1980
@peta

Words matter, and as our understanding of social justice evolves, our language evolves along with it. Here’s how to remove speciesism from your daily conversations.

30.2K

3:23 PM - Dec 4, 2018

</twitter-widget>The tweet includes a graphic recommending substitute language when referencing animals.
Instead of saying “kill two birds with one stone,” people should say “feed two birds with one scone,” although the first phrase refers to using resources wisely to accomplish multiple goals and nothing to do with feeding or literally killing birds.
<ins data-ad-format="auto" class="adsbygoogle adsbygoogle-noablate" data-ad-client="ca-pub-9229289037503472" data-adsbygoogle-status="done" style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; margin: auto; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline; background: transparent; text-decoration-line: none; display: block;"><ins id="aswift_2_expand" style="border: none; font-family: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline; background: transparent; text-decoration-line: none; display: inline-table; height: 160px; position: relative; visibility: visible; width: 640px;"><ins id="aswift_2_anchor" style="border: none; font-family: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline; background: transparent; text-decoration-line: none; display: block; height: 160px; position: relative; visibility: visible; width: 640px;"><iframe width="640" height="160" frameborder="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" vspace="0" hspace="0" allowtransparency="true" scrolling="no" allowfullscreen="true" id="aswift_2" name="aswift_2" style="border-width: 0px; border-style: initial; font-family: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline; max-width: 100%; left: 0px; position: absolute; top: 0px; width: 640px; height: 160px;"></iframe></ins></ins></ins>
Instead of “beat a dead horse,” PETA recommends saying “feed a fed horse,” even though“beat a dead horse” means one should not waste time doing something that will not work–nothing to do with feeding horses.
“Be the guinea pig” should change to “be the test tube” and “bring home the bacon” to “bring home the bagels,” referring to PETA’s stance that everyone should be a vegan.
The final entry on the graph is that “take the bull by the horns”–which is meant to express that people should tackle a challenge head on–should become “take the flower by the thorns.”
CNN reported:
PETA’s tweet comes after a UK-based academic argued last month that an increased awareness of vegan issues may lead to new modes of expression.
“Metaphors involving meat could gain an increased intensity if the killing of animals for food becomes less socially acceptable,” Shareena Z. Hamzah of Swansea University wrote in the Conversation.
<ins data-ad-format="auto" class="adsbygoogle adsbygoogle-noablate" data-ad-client="ca-pub-9229289037503472" data-adsbygoogle-status="done" style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; margin: auto; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline; background: transparent; text-decoration-line: none; display: block;"><ins id="aswift_3_expand" style="border: none; font-family: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline; background: transparent; text-decoration-line: none; display: inline-table; height: 152px; position: relative; visibility: visible; width: 605px;"><ins id="aswift_3_anchor" style="border: none; font-family: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline; background: transparent; text-decoration-line: none; display: block; height: 152px; position: relative; visibility: visible; width: 605px;"><iframe width="605" height="152" frameborder="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" vspace="0" hspace="0" allowtransparency="true" scrolling="no" allowfullscreen="true" id="aswift_3" name="aswift_3" style="border-width: 0px; border-style: initial; font-family: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline; max-width: 100%; left: 0px; position: absolute; top: 0px; width: 605px; height: 152px;"></iframe></ins></ins></ins>
“If veganism forces us to confront the realities of food’s origins, then this increased awareness will undoubtedly be reflected in our language and our literature,” Hamzah said.
“The legal system is already getting to grips with the subject,” CNN reported. “It was announced this week that a British employment tribunal will decide whether ethical veganism is a ‘philosophical belief,’ that should be afforded the same protections as religion.”
