Feels good to be back baby! Here's how it's going to work.

Every Thursday/Fri morning, I'll post 3-5 plays for the week. I wanted to make it public this year for a few reasons we can get into if this puppy catches steam. I'll provide brief write-ups and game analysis for not only my plays, but anything requested. Some of you may see my bland history here at RX, but I've been doing CFB analysis for 10+ years.

Will catch you all tomorrow.

Let it rip

3 Picks thus far:

Louisville/’Cuse OVER 69 -110

The Lamar Jackson Train is rolling! The Cardinals QB is the real deal… and may just be Petrino’s ticket back into the SEC. Jackson is one of the most elusive players in the NCAA - expect him to have orange in his rearview all game. Plus: our ole’ buddy Dino Babers bringing his high-octane offense from BGSU to Upstate NY… It’s a track meet on turf y’all. Take the over 69 in this game.

TCU -7.5 -110
Horn Frogs will be rocking!! 6pm, ESPN game. Purple in Prime Time! Kenny Trill redemption time. The kid threw for 440 yards last week in a shootout, while Arkansas squeaked by a very bad LA Tech team.. OK, so Arkansas has a way better Defense than South Dakota State, which could hold the Trill & Co to…40? 45? The Hogs cant run with them. Take TCU -7.5

image.jpeg

UNC -8.5 -115
Look for UNC to bounce back big time vs. the fighting Lovie Smiths.. Mitch Trubisky and his arsenal of WRs should light up the Illini this week. Don’t let last weeks scoreboard scare you away - UNC played a very good Georgia team and lost, While the Illini blew out the Murray St. cupcakes. Wait to see what happens when the big boys in baby blue come to play. Take UNC -8.5 (Would take up to -9)

Reviewing a few more games... Will post any further picks by Friday noon.

Cheers,

Another Play for Saturday:

Oklahoma State/Central Michigan OVER 61.5 -110

Maybe i'm just dreaming for some MACtion... But folks we have Andy Dalton 2.0 in CMU QB Cooper Rush! Cptn. Ginger. Rush threw for a zillion yards last season, and he is back for some more. Points, Points, Points... We will keep a close eye on this Okla St. team all year. They are LEGIT. Hung up 61 pts alone last week against SE-LA Cupcakes. They score early and they score often. Old fashion shootout in Stillwater, TX. Take over 61.5 -110

Another one for Saturday!! I'll post all plays together once finalized, Saturday morning before early kickoffs.

Michigan 1H -21 -115

UCF can't score on the maze & blue. In the big house, national game on ESPN. Harbaugh will have these boys gassed up! Did you see the beat down they put on the rainbows last week? Well, expect another one. Michigans D won't let up many points here, and they should score at ease just like week 1. Buckle up those khakis fellas. Take Michigan 1st Half -21

Side note: I heard Brady will be with the team either this week or next. Those boys will wanna show out. I dont know if he can top matty mcconaughey's speech to hookem, or even Jameis halftime pump up to Fla St. But starting to see a trend with these celebs/ex players close to the team. Can't wait to see what they got Brady doing.

Monday Morning Recap: What a weekend of CFB.

L'Ville/Cuse over 69 (W)
Action Jackson baby! Early Heisman watch. 4 TDS in Q1?! This guy is ELECTRIC.

TCU -7.5 (L)
Didnt watch but big let down. I over valued Kenny hill.

UNC -8.5 (W)
Sorry Lovie, still a few years out from being a good team. Look for Trubisky to get better throughout the year. UNC has a dynamic offense.

Okla St./CMU Over 61.5 (L)
What'd I say... Cooper Rush can play. Probably should've taken CMU + the pts based on my analysis, but expected some more early scoring from both teams. 2H they started to air it out.

Michigan 1H -21 (W)
All I can say is wow.. Michigans D is one of the best I've seen in years. QB could be an issue but they are a powerhouse once again. Peppers is a special player.

Overall YTD: 3-2

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Catch you all in a few days.

Back for week 3! The First pick is in:

Louisville +2 -115

In what I believe to be the game of the week, buckle up and tune in. We all know by now the TD machine that is Lamar Jackson, who has put up silly video game like numbers so far this year. Florida St. D did not hold up week 1 against Swag Kelly and his Ole Miss Rebels, and now they’re without arguably their best DB Derwin James. The Louisville O-Line has held up this year, and Jackson can turn into Houdini dodging defenders. Louisville RB is also averaging a whopping 14 YPC, which will help balance the passing game.

What I really like about this game is the Cardinals Defense vs. Fla St. O-Line. The Seminoles offensive line is BELOW average, which limits Dalvin Cook; Whereas the L-Ville D has held opponent QBs to 40-somehting completion % and totaled 8 sacks thus far. Florida St. QB Francois will have his first true road test in a ROCKING Papa John Stadium. Louisville STAND UP. Combine all of this, and L-Ville is getting points?! In my mind, it’s all because of program name.

Take Louisville +2 -100…The line isn’t going to move much higher. That’s my official pick, taking the points, but if you’re feeling comfortable enough, ML will work to. I expect the cardinals to win outright.

More Games to Come,

Axo

Pick #2: Ohio St. ML -120

Our second pick of week 3 comes in another powerhouse matchup.

Here are 3 reasons we like Ohio State: JT Barrett, Mike Weber and Curtis Samuel. If you don’t know who these guys are… get to.

Oklahoma does a good job in holding up the run (as they did w/ Houston), but when they do, they get shredded through the air. Oklahoma Ranks 76 in opp total yards…While Ohio State has put up 125 points in their first 2 games... Boomer Sooner won’t be able to stop this Buckeye Offense and the 3 headed monster that is Barrett-Weber-Samuel.

PLUS + Urban Meyer is 18-0 in road games at Ohio State.
Take Ohio State ML -120

Let’s get up for week 3! I love this play:

Maryland -9.5 -115

Maryland… Why Maryland? Here’s why. UCF QB got hurt last week when Harbuagh brought the beatdown.. Well now they come into this week having to face WHO? DJ Durkin, the Michigan D-Coordinator from last year. Look for the terps to do the same this week and shut UCF down. UCF is just so soooo bad.

Take Maryland -9.5 -115.

1 more day!

Michigan St. +8 -115

Love Sparty’s defense here. They have a great front 7, and look for them to hold the Irish and DeShone Kizer from going off. Sparty will look to control the ball on offense in a very conservative, run, gameplan. Which is why I like the valued points over a TD here. The secondary for ND has also been very iffy this year. Love that Mich St. had a bye week last week, to prep for this game. Take Sparty plus the points! Take Mich St. +8 -115.

Looking for 1 more line to move, if it does… I will post.

Cheers,

Axo
