Here is a serious reply:
In order to answer the question the following needs to be defined:
1. what you would consider the size of a medium sized operation?
and
2. what you would consider the size of a large sized operation?
In order to do that we need to know the number of players at the smallest sized book (zero) and the number of players at the largest book (no one knows).
Since every sportsbook on the Internet claims to be the largest this may be hard to calculate.
Also do you consider the handle or the number of players when deciding on the size of a book?
Is a large book considered a book that has over 1000 individuals placing bets on a daily basis? or is that a medium sized book?
I'm sure the marketing departments of any respectible operation would consider this information highly classified and would never consider sharing it.
So any discussion on the subject would be highly speculative and basically a waste of time anyway.
