I think the difference is in the size of the screen. The screen at the IMAX theater I went to was 60' X 80'.

When people tell me they have seen the first Avatar movie I asked them "but did you see it in 3D?"

And when I tell them well then you really haven't seen it unless you saw it in the theater in 3D and they always say oh it's just another 3D movie

Didn’t like the story line. Not sure where they could have gone with it but just a lot of dead space in a long movie

I thought it was pretty good. Not terrible for a sequel, but Stevie is right they didn't have much storyline going for them.

3D glasses have come a long way. I was never really a fan but this movie was good for 3D.
