Labeeb: It is easier for a European who follows soccer very closely (including all matches prior to the WC) to predict the results. I had no doubt that this would end as a draw of 1-1 prior to the match. I was at the Confed last year and saw how the teams played. Australia used an offensive style. So Aussies pk + over 2 was a gift. Any 1-1 would give a push in such a case. a 2-0 for any team would give me a 1-1. So why not trying Aussies pk and over 2?
My point of contention and probably Skins was not the analysis, but rather someone saying, "I told you so". Especially when the equalizer is scored in the 83rd minute and the winner just before stoppage time. Modesty is always a good thing.
