STOCKHOLM, Sweden - Ottawa Senators coach Craig Hartsburg will change goalies for tonight's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Alex Auld will start instead of Martin Gerber, who was in net for Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss.
While Gerber didn't play especially well and allowed two, maybe three, bad goals, Hartsburg said that wasn't the deciding factor.
The coaching staff also wanted to get Auld into a game. If he didn't play tonight, he wouldn't have much of a chance over the next two weeks, since the Senators have only three games - next Saturday at home against the Detroit Red Wings, and the following Friday and Saturday against Phoenix and Boston, respectively.
"We just felt this was best for both Alex and Martin," said Hartsburg
