I won a practice round ticket for this year's Masters in the Augusta National ticket lottery. They told me when I had won they would be sending out the ticket early March. I assumed it would be sent by USPS or FedEx with a signature required. Today I get my mail and an envelope from Augusta with the ticket inside. So what exactly happens if your mail gets lost or stolen. There is a serial number on the ticket but what's to stop anyone who has a ticket from selling it, pocketing the money and reporting the ticket lost. Now the buyer is shit out of luck when he shows up at Augusta and the ticket he bought from someone is invalid. You don't have a choice to pay extra for having the ticket sent by FedEx. When I won the lottery I had to pre-pay for the ticket months ago. Somehow I can't imagine the NFL sending out Super Bowl tickets via regular mail if happen to win a ticket in their lottery. Augusta is strange. I have a private mailbox rental and they will not let you use that to receive the ticket but it's okay to have a ticket to sent a free standing mailbox in front of your house. Anyone can drive by open the lid and take the mail.
