game is in richmond but will be a heavy virginia crowd...this virginia team is the deepest wahoo squad i have ever seen in all my years of watching virginia basketball...if gillen will rotate out players like he should, he could easily play 10 quality players in a game...that's ten deep!!! i see virginia rolling tonight and should cover the 10.5...good luck

haha, ted, you're giving waay too much credit to our bball team. as a student i am used to teams that are supposed to be good. we are inconsistent, there is only one way to put it. we were tied with app state at half and we were beating richmond by almost 20 at half. you never know how it is going to go.

as a student-i guess your age to be around 21-22...i have been following uva basketball since the early seventies (that's over 30 years)...i have seen the good and the bad...this years team has talent and two legit point guards (bannister and singletary). In years past they had billet, donald hand, keith jenifer, harold deane at point---not what u need to be competitive in the acc. this years team will be competitive throughout the year, they may finish 500 in the acc but with all the talent in the conference that ain't too bad...a middle of the pack acc team this year can compete with any school in the nation.......

and the first four games this year uva posted wins of 33,18,17 and 27...northwestern controlled tempo, like they will do all season, that led to the low score in that contest (48-44)....don't get tied up with halftime scores-it ain't how ya start it's where ya finish that matters to you and your book...

Tedd,

What no Lanny Stahurskis' on this team? If Gillen will let these guys play

they'll make some noise in the league, esp. at home.

uva has historically did well when they did have a true point guard...ricky stokes and othell wilson led teams in the early eighties, john crotty led team in '89 that went to the final eight, cory alexander led team went to the final eight in the early nineties
