Is Spurier really worse than Gregg Williams? I haven't followed the Skins much, but here is Williams resume

1. @ Jax, 1st Quarter up 14-0. Gregg calls a fake punt from his own 40 on 4th and 3. Jax stuffs, scores a few plays later & gets right back into the game.

2. @ Miami, 0-0. Gilbride calls a HB belly pass from inside the 10 (not a toss, pitch, or anything less idiotic, an actually belly where Henry ran into the lineman and threw while going backwards). Miami picks it off. Gregg defends the call & blames HB Travis Henry for a "bad throw".

3. @ KC. Down big near the end of the 1st Half (28-2). 2nd and goal from the 2. The Gilbride/Gregg combo calls 2 straight passes. Result : they settle for a FG. down 28-2, I'm not sure why they where kicking, but that's Gregg's call too.

Week and fuking week we have complete idiotic calls to look forward to. Is Spurrier as clueless?

I'd be willing to trade Gregg & Gilbride for Spurrier and QB with self-inflicted concussion to be named later.

Williams was an excellent defensive coach with the Titans. Maybe he needs a better offensive coordinator. Maybe he's not head coach material.

Spurrier seems to be a $5 million duck out of the water. Doesn't help that he works for Daniel Snyder and his band of idiots.

Spurrier is gone at the end of the year, if he makes it that long. Patrick Ramsey may not live the rest of the season. Yesterday was the worst I'v seen a quarterback get beat up in a long time. Kid has guts though to play through all that!

Spurrier has nothing to work with........he would have the Packers 8-0 if coaching them.

Coming off a bye week, Wash was as badly prepared to handle blitzes as a team could be.

Actually VVV that makes alot of sense. The only game I saw the Skins in was against the Bills. Spurrier was ofter putting out blocking schemes that isolated a TE or HB against a DE.

Granted the Bills have below average ends, but they dominated the TE & HB's of the Skins (as I suspect any DE in the league would do).

Very questable tactics.

Lander you are right on. He kept the same blocking schemes throughout the last several weeks and all defenses teed off on Ramsey. Hell, Simeon Rice had four sacks in one game going up against a TE or RB. Spurrier is a total joke. His expressions on his face tell the whole story.

Strut, what are you talking about, Spurrier doesn't have anything to work with. He's got Ramsey, Coles, Gardner, McCants, Jansen, and Samuels on the offensive side. The RB's are mediocre. The line is mediocre too. On the defensive side he has Arrington, Trotter, Armstead, Bailey, Smoot. Defensive line sucks. So he does have talent to work with, he's just a shitty coach.

Samuels could be considered for the biggest drop off in performance in history from one season to the next...he has 23498723 penalties this season and has given up alot of sacks...it may just be the scheme but his name always is popping up!!

The Defense is not the problem....the offense is the problem and this is supposed to be Spurriers forte!! Ramsey is a 2nd year qb and his athleticism has alot to be desired. He doesn't read defenses well at all and doesn't feel pressure at all! He needs to learn to use his feet to buy more time. Terry Bradshaw his first few years got bombarded like Ramsey. They say he might have had at least 5 concussions his first 2-3 years. However, at least Bradshaw new how to scramble..which Ramsey doesn't which makes it alot worse!!!

The biggest reason for the Redskins failures is that their best Running back has been injured, Trung Canidate. They played competitively when he was in there and posed a threat running and with the screens. It'll be different once he gets in there and they don't have to throw the ball everytime.

I have to agree with Jimmy Johnson on Fox yesterday when he said, "Why trade Rob Johnson when you still have to pay him anyways?"

Ramsey's backup QB Hasselbeck doesn't even know the offense yet!!

I still don't have a clue why the Skins would let Stephen Davis go either. He is a workhorse.

Just a few of the boneheaded decisions by the geniuses over there. With moves like these they are getting exactly what they deserve!

Micmanus is right. This teams problems is with coaching and management. Dan Snyder is an idiot who does nothing but hire big names that are either over the hill or untested. Bruce Smith, Deion Sanders, Jeff George etc.. Spurrier is in way over his head. His offensive schemes are a joke for the NFL who's defenses are all about blitzing and speed. Spurrier is not used to this type of attack. The arguement that the Skins would be better with Canidate is invalid because the problem is that shitty line. They are clueless and that is all coaching. I have never had any respect for Surrier. He won one national championship at Florida over eleven years. Give me a break. He is all hype and that is what Snyder likes. As long as that asshole is in charge you can forget about the Skins being competetive. They should at least be .500. Hell the Bengals are better than these clowns.

Steve Spurrier is too soft, he is an offensive coordinator at best. If I was him I would go back to college, in fact I would have never left. The NFL players IMHO would not be fun at all to coach!
