Your team does NOT deserve to be in the top ten.

I agree. They certainly got lucky with a minute remaining in the game on 4th and 18. They don't get that first down Kansas wins. Utah should still jump over Texas if they can win convincingly tonight.

The noose is getting tighter around Texas...it's only a matter of time now where they choke...

Utah will not jump Texas but it is all irrelevant. Utah will get into the BCS with the Wisconsin loss.

Texas will end up BCS #5 and will go to the Cotton Bowl.

Benson

Cedrick Bensen is OVERRATED, I could avg. 5yds per carry with that line.

wisky is almost irrelevant to Utah. wisky was going to win the big 11 and get the rose bowl bid. now that they lost they fall out of the top 6 so they won't get a BCS bid but michigan will and if michigan runs the table they might jump ahead of utah anyway. let's hope a&m helps out the bcs by beating the overrated horns who are NOT worthy of a bcs bid!

I attended the Horns Spring Game in '03, Selvin Young is superior to Ced Benson, but Mac Brown is pulling Simms over Applewhite-Part Two, which is all irrelevant anyway, as the Sips are just plain soft & finesse, no matter whom starts.

Nor does it matter what amount of stars Dave Campbell and the other SW gurus give the Horn recruits, as Stoops & Saban are doing a much better job developing the ones that they are pulling out of the same Tejas talent pools than is Brown.

Living here in Dallas and knowing the coaching of Texas, if they played in a conference like the SEC or a balanced conference like the PAC10, they would be 4 or 5th best. But they probably would have fired Mack because he would have been EXPOSED for the COACHING FRAUD that he is. The running joke here is that kids go to UT and don't develop until they leave. Peterson even said that was one of the reasons he went to OU. He spoke with Roy Williams (former UT WR) and he told him point blank, you won't develop any more skills than you already have. The coaching is horrible. So he went north to Oklahoma. They also lost the top QB in the state Romar to OU for the same reason. They just don't develop their talent.

Selvin Young got hurt if the first game of the season and has been out all year.

Say what you want about the team but Benson is a remendous back.

Winky -- your statement that the Wisky loss is irellevant to Utah is totally wrong. The big ten will get its required bcs bid. Utah is assured a bid as long as the finish in the top six. Wiskys loss today helps them out a bunch.

As far as everyone ripping the horns -- every team has bad weeks. The bottom line is that they won.

There are not 10 better teams in the country imho.

Either way I had KU so...I dont give a damn. Total trap game for Texas today and they fell right into it.

That's funny coming from a LSU fan - last year's "#2" team that didn't deserve a piece of USC's National Championship.

Deserving or not, the rankings are what they are... LSU is a perfect example that.

LSU didn't win the national championship. They were not #1 (USC), and they didn't play #1 (USC). They won a game between #2 and #3, but they were never #1 (USC). This year they are lucky to be ranked at all.

Put your pipe away.

Not a doubt in my mind that Texas is one of the top 10 teams in the country, and played a noble effort vs.OU, but despite VY's heriocs Sat vs Kan, they are worse-for-the-wear playing a WR at QB, instead of letting the unelected incumbent pitch it to him.

He has too may days and plays where he like an overrated Eli..misses a good 5 gimmes per game.

big 12 is a joke? WCBIAS,

your wc bias is really showing.

The big 12 south is the toughest division in any conference in college football. The north...yeah, the north is a joke.

Silverfish,

With all due respect...you are an idiot if you think USC was better than LSU last year. Pete is absolutely correct that LSU won the SANCTIONED CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. (And it was against a team that would have probably beat USC) Hopefully, after this year's BCS Championship Game, we'll move past the LSU/USC debate.

Shortbus...

Without a doubt the Big 12 south, if a stand alone conference, would be the best there is, despite the fact it is 0-2 against the Mountain West.

Dan Tanna...

USC would have crushed LSU last year...OK...they wouldn't have crushed them, they would have beat them by 10 points or more. Look at where they are at right now and break it down by position. LSU lost four or five players to the NFL (two receivers, a DL, a linebacker, am I missing someone?) and an average quarterback not in the NFL....USC lost the same amount (two receivers, an OL, two DL, and a CB). USC hasn't missed a beat, LSU has struggled all year, and could very easily have four losses. More than anything LSU misses it's offensive stars, because their defense is still top notch. What does this mean...depth, USC had it and LSU didn't. LSU's current team has a few more NFL callibre players on it....USC has at minimum 10 players that will play on Sunday's...six of which are not even seniors. USC had by far the better offense last year, LSU had the better defense. But LSU wasn't going to put up any more points on USC than Michigan did. USC would have won 24-10 or 24 - 14.

AAAAAAAHHHHH this is going to rile 'em up good!

WC,
That's a good argument, but it still doesn't hold water. You can't compare a team from last year to a team this year. In my opinion, LSU was playing better football at the end of the year, and would have beaten anybody...soundly.
USC may get their taste of a team similar to LSU last year if they match them up against Auburn. Auburn will bury USC, just like LSU would have last year. :guillotin
