Do you always make a habit of stating the painfully obvious? lol

There are shit teams that are shitty ATS too. Let's see if any 'system' you employ even calls for a wager on the Lakers, and then let's see if you adhere to it. ;-)

It didn't appear to be obvious when you stated your Lakers comment. Wasn't sure if it was Lakers specific or shitty team specific.

Yes, shit teams have shit ATS records as do some good teams. The reverse is also true. Its why you have to find good spots to back these teams. Last night was one for Philly.

If I have a play on LAL this year, I will start a thread on it. And hold my nose until the game is over. Really hoped Philly could have gotten their 1st win last night, but they reverted to Philly basketball late when they should have won the game.

Best of luck with your wagers today sir.

OK brother, we talked about shitty teams last week.

I've got the Lakers as a play tonight. Against my beloved Dubs. Yup, taking +17.

I will hold my nose as I hit submit, and then watch the Dubs win by 16. Hopefully.

Have a great day and good luck with your action sir.

hehe nice one Biz ^!:

I mean I see the logic, with the Warriors having won most of their last ten games or so by 7-12 pts.

The things that would scare me on this one are:

- Most likely you're looking to backdoor this one and cover, but historically the Warriors second unit has outscored that of the Lakers, even when they're playing with the lead. Lakers have some talent in their 2nd unit now with L. Williams, N. Young, B. Bass, etc., but they've shot poorly and play subpar defense.
- Luke might stay with the starters a few minutes longer than normal, since they're going to set a record, and the Warriors don't play again until Friday
- The crowd might push them to bury the Lakers by 25ish, instead of merely just getting the job done and winning by 15.

Anyway, this opened at 17.5 so I guess many agree with you, and that might be the biggest spread we'll see all year, so good luck on it

Geezus, this team is awful.

I've had a running debate about Kobe with a buddy. I told him he's terrible, he says I'm nuts. I told him today, right now, at this stage of his career....he's garbage. He disagrees.

I hope he's watching tonight's game. Kobe is an all time great, but he needs to retire ASAP.

Yeah, sad to say, this is exactly what I expected. And Kobe has been playing like this consistently, it's really quite embarrassing. 1-7 from deep is actually an IMPROVEMENT over his last 3 games. This team is a random assortment of players, thrown together just like the last 2 seasons. The 2 wins the Lakers got they earned (were gifted) 25 more FTA's than the opponent.

When I saw -17 I thought that was wrong because denver was getting 17 at golden st. Denver is a lot better than the lakers. Line should of been -20. I didnt understand that.

But calling it right now Golden st wont repeat. (Don't hit me Biz)

Kobe is an alltime top 100 player but he hurts the Lakers at this point and somebody has to put things in perspective for him and convince him to hang it up. A top flight pro athlete is the last to know when it is time. The Lakers letting him take days off and not practice last year was the start and seeing him go off on teammates when he did practice was disgusting.
As far as the Dubs go the sky is the limit as this teams works hard to be great and they dont let up. Mobb hate to disagree but you are nuts to think they dont hoist another banner

Its not that he can't hit a shot, he's not even close. Airballs, shots just clanking....he even had one tonight that got stuck between the rim and backboard.

No problem Mob, repeating is always a difficult task. Over the course of a season, they will beat most teams simply because its hard to prepare for them in a day. Over a 7 game series, with the advantage of advanced scouting, you can focus on one team. The game to game adjustments is what makes the playoffs so fascinating. For example the small ball lineup Kerr used in game 4 vs Cleveland.

Playoffs are down the road, in the meantime I'll enjoy watching them take apart most teams playing a style of ball that is as entertaining as any team in all of sports.
