Due to the Forum being off-line the last 24 hours plus, there will be no Skybook NBA BEST BET Contest today (Sat March 20th). No streaks will be affected by the down time if you were unable to post. The Cappers that did post yesterday will have their plays graded, and included in their current streaks. I hope to resume the contest on Sunday. Thanks to all for your understanding during this very inconvenient incident.

Let's me just say this before I make this post... I could care less about the prizes offered ...

With that said I think it's unfair to count the best bets of those who got "lucky" and were able to post their plays.. Those that weren't so lucky are at a clear disadvantage...Yesterday was the second occurance of this and the players who got in were able to get ahead of those not able to post..Under the circumstances I think the only fair thing to do was to cancel the whole day out, like the General did for today..

Anyway, I hope I didn't push any buttons..

The problem with your suggestion is that the Cappers that posted up early did nothing wrong. How can I punish them for that? Also the plays had to win to count towards any particular streak. I try to be as fair as possible, unfortunately circumstaces like the forum being down were not forseen when the contest rules were written. Like several other occurances we have to add rules on the fly, this is another one of those times. Anyone who made a play before the site went down is going to get credited or debited accordingly.

Thanks, wil.

Wilheim,

The problem with your decision is that you create an unfair ground to this contest. You do not want to punish who got "lucky" and were able to post their plays but you have punished the rest 75% of the players who did not post their plays although the site being down was not their faults.

Augustus & #1 cheater....

Some of us actually POST really early due to circumstance. I travel with my work (Regional Sales) & usually leave the house between 6:00am - 6:30am CST Monday -- Friday. Occasionally on Saturday. Some days I do not make it back until 8:00pm or later. I, therefore, am "Usually" ALWAYS posting early due to the fact that I might not be able to get back in time to post otherwise. Exception on Sunday & some Saturdays.

I understand what you are saying, but WHY should the ones of us who have time demands be restricted OR have plays nullified due to the Fact that we posted early & the site, consequently, started to malfunction after the fact.

Remember, either way, we are still RISKING. If we LOSE ---- it still counts. So, it reasons to be that if we WIN --- it should count as well.

Just my opinion, that's all. The site has been consistent in ALL OF IT'S RULINGS. That being said ... keep up the GREAT WORK "SkyBook" & Company.

Good Job WILHEIM!!

Later!!!!
