My suggestion, for what its worth ... If someone wants to cash in, by all means give them the free account and set them back to 0. But instead of making all others start over, why not let all other streaks CONTINUE, both winning and losing? Why punish everyone else with streaks going, just for having the misfortune of getting hot at the same time as the player cashing? And someone please tell me the logic of letting losing streaks continue and winning streaks end? I realize players on losing streaks are TRYING to lose, but their streak should have no more value than another one's winning streak.
My guess is that the rule to start everyone again at 0 originally was added by Skybook to prevent themselves from getting pounded by having winner after winner cashing on a daily basis. I can understand that. If I was sponsoring this contest, this would be a legitimate concern of mine, too. The truth of the matter, though, is this hasn't happened. Why? Well, for one thing, hitting 10 straight is far more difficult than most realize (even for an elite capper, the odds are nearly 1 in 500). More importantly, though, most players on a streak have discovered that because the prize money increases so steeply with each win, it is more profitable to keep the streak going and hedge on the other side.
Bottom line - it's not like we're breaking the bank at Skybook with this contest. Don't get me wrong, I certainly appreciate them sponsoring it, but the truth is they've only given away $100 so far. Lets get some more winners by letting everyone's streak ride til they break it themselves.
