Good day fellow gamblers!!! Excellent day for a wager or two!! I got the Royals -1 1/2 +100 so it started off OK!!
I love this weekend card in the SEC, been waiting until they had a couple games under their belts so here goes!!
Florida will kill Tennessee in their own home(Tenn.) So Florida -7 (-120) is my first pick and my play of the weekend!!
Another visitor will cover in Alabama, when LSU comes to Auburn! LSU -3 or 2 1/2 whatever you can get, is my second pick. The score here could be 8-4 but LSU will cover. Boy, are Auburn fans disappointed after that last powerhouse offensive display. This will eventually be a good offense, as soon as they adapt to the system.
West Virginia should cover this evening if they realize they have a great veteran offensive line that can run over most teams they face and a quarterback who can gain 100 yds. and win running behind that line with the other speed on the team, anyway, WV is not as bad as they looked vs. a very good East Carolina team.

Recap my plays for now:

West Virginia -3 2*
LSU -3 3*
Florida -7 (-120) 5* Best Bet

Agree on West Virginia -3

West Virginia (-3 Points) at Colorado

There are three reasons why West Virginia should win a close game against Colorado Thursday evening. First, the Mountaineers returns the best offensive line in college football from a year ago-EVERYONE! Next, their Heisman Trophy candidate QB, Pat White, is probably one of the nation’s best “combo-quarterbacks” (running and passing). And third, West Virginia has the best kicker (Pat McAfee) in the nation. His head coach says the Lou Groza semi-finalist from a year ago “has the strongest leg in the country”. Blue-chip RB Noel Divine along with White are two of college football’s fastest men. Meanwhile, Colorado must replace All-American LB, Jordon Dixon and replace both graduating cornerbacks. Colorado does return 8 on defense and retains a good QB in Cody Hawkins. However, Colorado’s leading returning rusher from a year ago rushed for only 335 yards and their leading receiver from last year who is now starting only caught passes totaling 550 yards. If West Virginia’s defense comes up big against Hawkins, West Virginia should win the game rather easily because of their offensive front and speed at the skill positions. If it’s a closer game, look for McAfee’s leg to make the difference.

PLAY: West Virginia (-3 Points)

i see tons of people liking fla this week

i have been watching fla game vs miami and the tenn game vs ucla

i think tenn will look to wear down fla up front, i'm looking at some x's and o's as to what fla does well vs tenn def scheme. it seems that tenn may be able to crowd the front seven and contain outside on fla. i think fla will have some real problems with the 4 down linemen up front and tenn may just try and push off the line, fla has great speed at lb so it looks to be tenn has to hit the A and B gaps.

tenn has some good players and speed in the secondary, if they keep the safties up and can break up the screens and bubbles that fla will run, tenn should win out. fla likes to use the speed n space offense and i could see tenn crowding the gaps trying to prevent space

good luck on your play but i think tenn wins a good game here. 25-23 tenn

Mr. Chris Hansen, I have been looking for your comments since I was impressed last year and I thought you had been a coach at one time because of your cerebral approach. Thanks for the input. I had heard , also, that the QB at Tenn. was injured this week in practice. Not that it would have a major affect on this game. I think it will be a bit more of a defensive battle than the masses anticipate. If I really thought that Fla would kill Tenn I wouldn't worry about buying 1/2 a point. A friend of mine is a U of T ex-player and he sort of swayed me towards Florida. I have only watched both teams once, and with such limited exposure can't really predict the proverbial lock! Do you post much in the NFL forum and are you one of the Hansen Bros. Thanks again, what about LSU and WV? Good luck, Crush the books!!!! ATLSLIM

im no sure what post you are talking about from last year

but for the most part if i go in depth with off and def schemes that teams run and what i notice teams doing well most ppl could care less so i dnt post that crap much. i bet for fun and shits and giggles. i cant go just betting on a team that i get good insight from or i would just be betting 1-2 games a week, lol thta want happen even though it would be profitable

one thing i hate is ppl who look at past games and score out comes, the rank of a team and stats, i hate stats, they mean shit

these are the games i have recorded from a coaching standpoint i have bet. and the only loss is fresno, but as you can see i would pull my hair out if i bet a game here and there.

ncaa wwek 1
ecu +9
ecu ml
stanford +3

nfl week 1
tenn +3
buff -1
nyj -3

ncaa week 2
none

nfl week 2
wash pk

ncaa week 3
usc -10-
fresno st ml

my plays i like for week 4 ncaa and nfl week 3
wake
oregon
auburn (possible)

houston
pitt
cleveland (possible)

if you find any interest in my breaking down a game let me know and i will look into something for you. i only predict from a coach standpoint what i see teams do well and what they will do differnt in my opinion. it is helpful sometimes but i do it for fun if anything else. i will put it to you this way, i have found it easy calling plays over the years, and a prime example is the alabama clemson game, my buddies asked me to call a 1st dwn play, i said bubble screen, 2nd dwn i called shotgun trap, 3rd dwn i called 5 yrd out to wr on short side of the field. i called it to a tee. only because i look in depth to the game of football and not just betting

anyways sorry for the rant

and if you have a game you want me to break dwn and see if i find any value i dnt promise no winners but i would be glad to do it just because i like to, maybe you win some money

good luck with your plays

about wv

i like wv, the def worries me some but i think colo has some problems with the lb's and secondary. wv should be able to get to the 2nd zone off the run game and pat shld be able to make plenty of plays with his legs. if they throw bubble screens i think buffs have problems shedding that blocking wr. i will be surprised if wvu doesnt score more than 31 but as i said i dnt knw about wvu def.

i will say a sloppy start for the wvu team but they pull back and get a 31-23 win

Mr. Hansen, thanks for the input. My complements to you for your look at individual matchups between teams. I am more of a numbers capper. Totals are more my thing after week 4. But an example of my reasoning(capping) whatever. I took East Carolina +10 against VT also, because the two teams met last year, I capped carolina as a little better than the year before, VT had lost some power(after winning by 10 I think last year)and the game went from Blacksburg to E. Carolina. The line was VT-10 both years.E. Carolina looked like the value in that one. Not enough for the $ line for me(even though they won)but just a real good value. Louisville went to +6 at my book last night and I took them for a small play. Value is often easy to spot. It isn't always with the dog. The NFL is a different beast. Anyways, Auburn disappointed me so much last week it is too easy to go against them for me , but that is usually a kneejerk reaction and most teams improve quite a bit aftyer such a game. Hated to see you on them, but I have made no wagers yet.
I am in a $1000 challenge with Mac over in the NFL forum, stop in sometimes, he's a semi-tout, I could use some support.
Good Luck. ATLSLIM

Good day, fellow gamblers. Great day for a wager! Had to bump my own thread because I love my SEC plays today! Florida is holding their own against Tenn. and LSU/Auburn should be a barnburner!!

Best Bets: Florida -7 (-120)
LSU/Aub. Under 37.5

Medium Bet LSU -2.5

I bought the half with Fla but won't need it in Auburn. It sure seems to me that the rule changes have shortened the game. GLTA ATLSLIM

I agree with you on the UNDER LSU game. Two solid solid Defenses, I say its a 10-14 or 17-14 game if that. BOL bro!

Mr. Chanman, yes sir. Coupled with these young offenses, we should have a very good chance at collecting. After hearing that the new rule changes shouldn't have a big enough affect on totals it sure seems like games are quicker, I could be wrong. Good luck, Crush the books!!!! ATLSLIM
