Good day fellow gamblers! Great day for a wager(esp. if you had Oak/Tex Over) Not really for football fans though, so on to Saturday.
Atlslim told you that Florida would kill Tennessee, LSU would cover vs. Auburn, and it would be an Under!!! Well, 2 out of 3 ain't bad!
(Meatloaf circa 1970)
This weekend is loaded with some good football. It has been overstated, but look at the schedules these SEC teams play and tell me , which is the best Conference in the USA. The almighty SEC!!!!
This Saturday, between the hedges, Georgia will get all that it can handle from Alabama. I am making this bet, Alabama +7 a best bet , now and only this bet, for now.
Phil Fulmer is getting blasted all over Tennessee, and as is his modus operandi,(the way he operates) he and the Vols, will be wide open in Auburn Alabama this Sat. Expect a maximum effort from Tennessee, but I don't know if it will be enough after Auburn's last Sat. hangover! Auburn will also be pumped up. This team may be more of a disappointment than the Vols according to expectations. I have more Auburn friends here in Atlanta and they keep saying ,"just wait until this offense gets on track." Yeah, but how long?!!!! Anyway, more to come later. Our purpose is to gain knowledge and CRUSH the books!!!! ATLSLIM

PS Have you seen any Big 10 action, Penn St. will destroy everybody in the Big 10 this year and I am no Paterno fan.

I thought Auburn's offense looked about a million percent better against LSU than it did the previous week against Miss. State...

nice call on your gators last week, i wouldnt say florida killed em just by the scoreboard, vols shot them self in the foot early , i liked tenn to possible win but that was done early, lol... either way i think florida would of covered that game somehow even if tenn would of kept there head on... nice picks though

i played wake and oregon last week, loved em both and the ducks just got rolled:ohno:, i thought i had a good read on the wake game but couldnt believe the penaltys wake got, the are usually a very disciplined team, fsu stood to there standards though in that category

couldnt play my tigers though, just watched that game and rooted for my boys only to see them blow it late 2 years in a row

chris hansen, I thought WF last week was almost a square play, I liked them, most did. FSU is very young. This looks to be a stamp Jimbo is putting on the team. My son in law loves FSU, anyways these are 18-21 year old college students (?) we are wagering on, where is the sanity?!!! The Ducks were another story, I try to have some connection( students, region, past good history, something) to back some teams. The Ducks are not on the list. Don't know if you are a wagering man , but good luck if you are!! ATLSLIM

Hey, Doc, I agree , that is why I will probably look at the Over in this game. Auburn has a proven defense. It is time for the offense to shine and i think Tenn. might just keep up!!!! Good luck, ATLSLIM

Every Offensive Coach for Auburn should be fired. Its not working because they don't have the athletes to make it work. They were in the game and any other game because of their defense. Without it...nothing.

What baffles me is that I've never heard fans before yelling for the back-up quarterback because he "runs" better than the starter. That is what's so bad about this Offense.

Good coaches evaluate their talent and run an Offense based on what they are good at. Auburn is taking the approach that the Offense makes the player. WRONG.....players make Offense.

Had Auburn been in a normal Offense with I-formation, rotating their good running backs....scrapping the finesse blocking and using Ziemba and others mean streaks pounding the football with the QB under Center, they would have won Saturday.

Its Ok to bring in someone like Franklin and run what the OC is good at....but you don't have to run it full-blown immediately. Good coordinators can analyze their talent and modify the Offense to their strengths, and implement over time as you get the athletes to run what you want.

You don't act this way at a time when your rival finally got smart and hired a good coach. Its pure stupidity.

i saw plenty of ppl on fsu, square or not i dont look at that stuff, as i have stated before i look at an x's n o's perspective.. and yes i am a gambling man i loike to try in make money but i love to have fun with it. i will do some crazt parlays and teasers and prop bets...

but when it comes to starit plays and bigger wagers i get picky and bet on games and teams i have watched... i was liking harper at qb for oregon as i thought he was a good athlete and played well from when i saw him but he is a freshman and let me and the ducks down big time. o well

my friend gives me hell for watching recoded games over and over, i bet i watched the giants jets pre season gm 6-7 times:lol: i need to get a 2nd job maybe, lol

good luck and throw out some more picks

Red Elephants, excellent point about the athletes making the offense successful, not the system making the athletes. My Auburn buddy and I disagree on this every time. This is not the NFL. These are young , raw athletes, talent! They have to be utilized for what they do best! When you do that , you do have4 a successful system. Very good input! Thank you, sir. We must work to beat the books!!!! ATLSLIM

Mr. Rolltide, so true. They won't be traveling this weekend, but they will face an Illinois team. It should be a better test for them. Are you taking Illinois and 14 points, because give me Penn St. -14. Good luck, sir. ATLSLIM

Penn State's injuries/suspensions/lack of experience on the interior of their defense and inexperience at QB will come back to bite them...awfully big statement saying a team with a new QB that has challenged for the Big Ten once in the last 10 years or so will roll over a schedule that includes games in Madison, West Lafayette and Columbus

yes I would take Illinois +14 before Penn State -14 but not touching the game. Once they leave the state to play a team not named Syracuse I will definitely be laying coin against them

Say what you want about their offense; the loss to LSU definitely wasn't their fault. If you watched the game at all, you would realize that the blame should go all over the special teams. From the recoverable dropped balls that LSU made on AU punts to the nine yard punt by Shoemaker to the onsides kick recovery team falling asleep, one could easily argue that the special teams blew this game. As a result of their pitiful play, the defense got tired and LSU took advantage. It was a great game played by both sides...

Mr. BRC, it may be a big statement. I was impressed with their overall play. I also saw the teams from Madison, Lafayette and Columbus play(I am a Buckeye fan) and I just think they have good team rapport. Time will tell. I have very little knowledge of the Big 10. The SEC is my backyard. Best of luck to you this year! Crush the books!!! ATLSLIM
