I just don't get the love for the Falcons. They are in the exact same position as last year's team. What is different this year?
Atlanta's strength is the passing attack. Seattle's strength is pass D. These are the most physical CBs the Atlanta WRs will face all year. These are the best two CBs they will see.
In addition, Atlanta's D is horrible. C. Newton did what to Atlanta two times this year using the spread offense? He ran for more than 200 yards and passed for around 700 yards. Atlanta had no answer. What will be different tomorrow with Wilson?
Defense and a solid rushing attack wins Super Bowls. One of these teams has both and one has neither.
It's weird when fandom overlaps with gambling/handicapping. Which, I suppose, happens to everyone. I'm a Dallas everything fan, and it pains me how good of a fade the cowboys are (esp. As a fave), I have a hard time not blindly believing that all my teams are going to win all the games they play. Sometimes my money follows it... Sometimes it doesn't... Then sometimes it wins, others it loses...
I'm not saying either of y'all are blindly following your hometown boys. The banter just made me think of it.
I didn't even say Atlanta wasn't the right play. I just think a guy that comes in and says they'll win by DD with zero reasons to back that up is dreaming. Teams ranked #20 in the NFL in defense don't win rings.
Teams that don't stop the running game don't win rings. I'm not saying anything we all don't know though.

You want specific reasons, here ya go. Atl is 7-1 @ home, Seattle is 4-5 on the road, atlanta is better on 3 rd down, better in the red zone. And even though you're wrapped up in this whole ranked 20th in defense nonsense Atlanta gives up 18.7 pts a game while Seattle gives up 15.2 pts a game, not a considerable difference IMO, Seattle traveling to the east coast two weeks in a row to play a well rested Atlanta team. You're a Seattle fan and I can appreciate you not wanting to even consider the fact that your team may lose But they will lose by dd.. Gl to ya anyways enfuego..
Do you realize out of 16 games this year that Atlanta has faced exactly two playoff teams (Washington and Denver)? And oh by the way, if RGIII doesn't get hurt, Washington wins that game.
Aside from Denver (2nd game of the year), they beat Oakland, Carolina, Dallas, Arizona, New Orleans and the Giants. And let's be honest, Atlanta should've lost at home to Oakland and Carolina.
What do you mean I don't want to even consider they will lose? It's a total possibility for sure but face the fact man, your team isn't as good as you think they are and we all know it.
I'm not sure if you watched the ATL/Wash game, but it wasn't quite like you have stated. Everything you say about the Falcons can have be spun into Seattles season also. Should be a good game, but one would have to think the travel has to catch up with the hawks. If ATL does win by DD then you will have some crow to eat about them not being as good as you think. I think that ATL handles business at home as usual. The bad thing about it is if ATL wins then they will still get no respect because then the excuses will come out that Seattle really isn't that good....just wait until SF. It has happened all year.
