One other thing... a flight from SF to Phoenix is roughly 2 hours (made the flight myself a few times). By the time the Braves shower, eat, get dressed, get to the airport and get on the plane, it will probably be close to midnight. I'm guessing it will be close to 3 AM by the time they are actually in their hotel rooms. So I can certainly see your logic...
hno:lets see...atlanta played yesterday....one player [the pitcher] may be tired but he wont play today...the other players had to do what??? WALK from to the plate a few times...swing a bat a few times...maybe run to first twice on a good night....chase a ball or 2 per inning then take a rest after each time in the field...how tired do you get???? its baseball...this late plane thing just seem to have that much of a effect
I dont see the travel being a factor here. It's a very short flight and they will be gaining an hour in the time zone difference from pacific to mountain.
Last Sunday evening they had to fly from Atlanta to S.F. to play a day game on Monday ... that was a legit jet-lag theory , but they should be ok here.
