ATL BRAVES at LA DODGERS THOUGHT

Is it just me or do the dodgers seem like a "lock" tonight for these following reasons:

 1. The Braves are 12 and 29 on the road.
 2. They just came off a loooong game last night, which means the players are probably drained.
 3. Not to mention they had to fly out to LA either last night or early this morning.
 4. Plus the dodgers are in the mix of their division plus they are kind of hot winning 5 out of their last 6.
 5. Dodgers starter tonight has pitched shutouts in 2 of 3 starts
I am thinking about throwing down some serious cash on this game tonight, maybe even the runline. Please let me know on you thoughts and opinions. Thanks.

Perfect setup for a letdown, Braves come off the dramatic win in 17 innings, their bullpen is screwed and Campillo does not go deep in games. Flight to the west coast facing a hot dodgers team.

Here's my opinion on tonight's game....Just when you think you have all the angles figured out and one team is screaming for you to take them..GO THE OTHER WAY! Take ATL +125...I now it's hard to do but I have been burned too many times thinking the way you are on this game. BOL either way!

I like the play , and good reasoning on your part BUT; "and call me superstitious if you like" everytime somebody uses the word LOCK to describe a play it scares me away....

yuh i am nervous about playin it and i was nervous about the "lock" but that is why i put it in quotes. I really really want to bet it and i know it looks fishy so i probably lay back off the game completely bc i agree with what u guys said about their being too much info not to bet it

And so it goes......

all logical reason points to the Dodgers. Unfortunatly, logic doesn't win in baseball.

Just looking at the stats. Two conflicting trends

On one hand Teams playing on the east coast the previous night, then playing in the Pacific Time Zone on no rest in the 1st game of the series are:
<TABLE cellSpacing=10 bgColor=#ffffff border=0><TBODY><TR><TD>SU:</TD><TD>37-68 (-0.8 rpg)</TD><TD>average line: +124 / -137</TD><TD>on / against: -$2,215 / +$1,630</TD><TD>ROI: -19.9% / +11.0%

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> Not bad playing against looks like the Braves will have problems

On the other hand, road dogs off an extra inning win, playing in the 1st game game of a series are 33-35 for +720 (Atlanta)

Also shows Teams off a an extra winning win, the momentum seems to continue to the next series. Almost 50-50 for underdogs.

Laying off here, but for other reasons

Everybody and their mother is on LAD it seems like. W/ this much support seemingly for LAD, you would think the line would be higher.

I actually like the Braves tonight, but can definitely see the reasoning behind taking the Dodgers. I'm actually a big fan of this Dodgers team and think they will represent the NL in the World Series, but I see a run coming from the Braves sometime soon. GL though.

See the morning game. The logic is very correct, but means nothing. THhe travel issue is valid sometimes. BUt they had time to get in, and do this chit all the time. I look and see Chipper "I'll boink your girlfriend" Jones owns Kuroda. Weird game on the opener. Some really good cappers on both sides.

Wow...not bashing you, but really Dodgers in WS ??? There really is no way unless they play about .900 ball the rest of the way.

Under for me, good luck to you

IKNOW...I keep seeing Under backers, what am I missing? I know Kuroda has been balling, but he's not CY Young. Man there is a lot of players on the Under, and I dont say that to disrespect or offer a fade, but its such a bizzare number for two non aces.

I was gonna take LA too, but after seeing how many of you say go the other way because LA seems too obvious...Im taking ATL too!

Im also gonna lay some on SD too. I hate their offense and I can easily see Maddux getting lit up, but Im gonna do it anyway...I think!

The Braves Suck!!!A little nervous about the Dodgers but no way I lay a dime on the Braves on the road. Better off placing bet with this guy and telling him I will be back to collect it after the Braves win.
