Tried to tag on Soriano's fly ball to center...Bourn nailed him at 3rd...

Which picked up Wigginton and that pathetic throwing error that got Marquis to 2nd base.

Not sure what Marquis was doing...but he took a chance away from DLee to drive him in.

Pence reached on a DLee error to lead off the 6th...

I said that wrong...Marquis started the 5th inning off reaching 2nd base on a Wigginton error. So he was there with no outs and Soriano at the plate...Soriano flied to straight away center...not very deep...Marquis tagged...Bourn threw him out at 3rd base with ease. Then Johnson grounded out to end the inning...but Marquis should have been on 2nd base with one out...then Johnson and DLee would have had a shot to tie the game. Was a terrible base running gaffe in a one-run ballgame.

If I were a big league NL manager, my pitchers would be on a strict baserunning philosophy.

Dont tag up trying to get to third. If you do try, you better make it.

Exactly...

Especially when the opposition makes a two-base error like that. It is bad baseball not to cash that in. But when your pitcher tries to do that...it is terrible baseball,...in a one-run game.

Have a feeling that he would have driven in Marquis in the 5th...he is swinging the bat real well.
