Willie, some things never change...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Blame America First

They said that saving Grenada from terror and totalitarianism was the wrong thing to do - they didn't blame Cuba or the communists for threatening American students and murdering Grenadians - they blamed the United States instead.

But then, somehow, they always blame America first.

When our Marines, sent to Lebanon on a multinational peacekeeping mission with the consent of the United States Congress, were murdered in their sleep, the "blame America first crowd" didn't blame the terrorists who murdered the Marines, they blamed the United States.

But then, they always blame America first.

When the Soviet Union walked out of arms control negotiations, and refused even to discuss the issues, the San Francisco Democrats didn't blame Soviet intransigence. They blamed the United States.

But then, they always blame America first.

When Marxist dictators shoot their way to power in Central America, the San Francisco Democrats don't blame the guerrillas and their Soviet allies, they blame United States policies of 100 years ago.

But then, they always blame America first.

The American people know better.

They know that Ronald Reagan and the United States didn't cause Marxist dictatorship in Nicaragua, or the repression in Poland, or the brutal new offensives in Afghanistan, or the destruction of the Korean airliner, or the new attacks on religious and ethnic groups in the Soviet Union, or the jamming of western broadcasts, or the denial of Jewish emigration, or the brutal imprisonment of Anatoly Shcharansky and Ida Nudel, or the obscene treatment of Andrei Sakharov and Yelena Bonner, or the re-Stalinization of the Soviet Union.

The American people know that it's dangerous to blame ourselves for terrible problems that we did not cause.

They understand just as the distinguished French writer, Jean Francois Revel, understands the dangers of endless self- criticism and self-denigration.

He wrote: "Clearly, a civilization that feels guilty for everything it is and does will lack the energy and conviction to defend itself." :103631605

With the election of Ronald Reagan, the American people declared to the world that we have the necessary energy and conviction to defend ourselves, and that we have as well a deep commitment to peace.

And now, the American people, proud of our country, proud of our freedom, proud of ourselves, will reject the San Francisco Democrats and send Ronald Reagan back to the White House.

Thank you very much.

only some leftists in this great country support Russia's actions and of course, blame America. Dumb as they come

yawn...

The ultra right gestapo is pulling out all the stops. Im not sure why anyone would support Russia's actions, just like im sure why most dont support ours in the last 5 years. Wrong is wrong, whether its done by an American or Russian. Only an arrogant disillusioned hack could see it any other way.

People talk about the middle of the road as though it were unacceptable. Actually, all human problems, excepting morals, come into the gray areas. Things are not all black and white. There have to be compromises. The middle of the road is all the usable surface. The extremes, right and left, are the gutters.”

If we agree that the US has the right to defend its economic interests around the globe, does Russia not have the right to defend Russians from getting killed?
I didnt follow it too much but from what I have read it was started by Georgia killing a bunch of Russians in a disputed territory. Is that not correct?

It's not a disputed territory, it's part of Georgia.

Kinda like Iraq once claiming Kuwait is "disputed territory".

The international condemnation speaks volumes in and by itself.

Do you actually believe Russia put this massive military force in Georgia overnight without planning each and every step? It was no reaction by Russia.

Thanks for proving my point about some leftists in America.

Absolutely not, because Russia is ruled by a mafioso-like leader and has been preparing for this fight for months. Putin reminds me of Hitler and his bellyaching about German "Lebensraum"...

And the pansy Blame America First sheeple are marching with him lock-step, just as they did when they sided with Hitler over their own Winston Churchill prior to all hell breaking loose.

There is no moral equivalence between countries who are ruled by thugs vs those of us who live in the free world -- NONE whatsoever.

I didnt follow it too much but from what I have read it was started by Georgia killing a bunch of Russians in a disputed territory. Is that not correct?

Having lived under the BRUTAL oppression of the Evil Empire, EVERY former satellite state is sounding alarm bells about the old/new Russian Bear....

Ukraine offers satellite defence co-operation with Europe and US

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/wor...-defence-co-operation-with-Europe-and-US.html

Oh, look, what a surprise -- virtually EVERY ONE of the former satellite states agree with me!

Maybe the Blame America First Dems need to pay to start paying attention and turn off Keith Overbite. :ohno:

NOBODY is threatening the sovereignty of Russia -- former KGB thug Putin is bullying and threatening EVERYONE!

Sen. John McCain couldn't have put it more succinctly....

"Today we are all Georgians." :103631605

:finger:Bring it on, Vladimir, you fascist punk!!:finger:

This coming from the same guys who defend a POTUS who racks up 4 Trillion dollars in debt in just 8 years (mind you there was just 5.4 when he entered office, so that is what 219 years to get to 5.4 and just another 8 to get to 9.7?) and who has passed the three highest budget deficits in the history of this nation with this masterpiece.... "Well, we actually just set a record for revenues". EVEN THOU WE ARE SPENDING MORE AND FASTER THEN WE EVER HAVE. This is the type of logic you are dealing with here folks. Nothing but a bunch of label whores if you ask me. Joe is no different then some zit faced 17 year old in Abercrombie and fitch running up her daddys credit card. Although shes probably canadian, just to ashamed to admit it.

What other Russians?

Every journalist and individual who dared to expose Putin's corruption has been murdered.

Putin does not represent the will of the Russian people.

But Putin might represent the will the South Ossetians (or whoever they are) who actually wouldnt mind joining Russia for some reason:shocked:

Not too long ago they had a referendum where 99% (with 95% turnout) wanted to secede from Georgia and they kinda have a separate gov't where about 60% of the budget comes from Russia

and this means what about Russia planning to invade a Democratic country, lying about it, receiving international condemnation and defended only by the likes of a few Bush hating Americans like you again?

NOTHING, but then that's all you got anyways.

Fletch forgets that the president submits a budget to the Congress - the congress could cut - or increase - the budget any way they see fit:

they recently raised the debt ceiling again to 10.6 trillion to pay for the "stimulus" check and the housing bill which dubya also supported

Yep, that's right, folks -- it's America's fault.

Obama's statement after Russian soldiers ransacked Georgia: Now, now everyone, I want to see cooler heads prevail on all sides -- especially you, Georgia. I mean it this time!

KGB thugs at the Kremlin: Nothing to see here, men. Obama is trying to sound tough again. Let's play another round of "The Fool" and drink some more vodka. :Carcajada:
