I am a big UNC fan with season tickets and happy they are winning but......fans and announcers love to exaggerate how good teams are. Remember USC earlier in the year. They crushed UVA by about 50 and people were saying they were a pro team. Then, they lost to Oregon State.
UNC won easily last night but was outrebounded and didn't even shoot 50%. They have a backup shooting guard (Frasor) who can't shoot (0-3 last night) and has struggled with injuries (Zeller is out while Ginyard hasn't even played). Who knows if Hansbrough will stay healthy for a season. They have a short point guard in Lawson who is very fast (wasn't he injured last year too?)
The team defense is not that good to me as the opponents are getting open shots but just not making them.
Remember that earlier in the year Miami beat NE 38-13 at Foxboro and Brown ran for 4 TD's and passed for another. Then, what happened at Miami? NE adjusted and won 48-28.
I hope the Tar Heels go on and win it all and are undefeated along the way but it is only December and not April.

Pro team? C'mon, even the best college basketball team of all time (UNC isn't even in the top 20 this year, but they might have the best all time team with the MJ team in I think 83) would get handled by any current NBA squad. OKC would be a 30 point favorite over UNC and cover the number. Not a knock on the Heels because they have proved they are the best team in the nation this year and it seems to be by a very large margin, but pro teams are just so much more talented, not to mention smarter, bigger, stronger and play MUCH better defense.
