I thought the same thing. I may keep a journal or something like that also. When it is all over with I can look back on it and I think it will be a really interesting read. Hopefully I can make some decent money, have some fun and have exciting times out here to add to my story

As for a thread I like that idea and will try and do this everyday. Hope most like it. I know I would have loved to read something like this back in the day on here.

Funny story, I had driven every mile up till we got about 20 minutes before Denver and so my GF said she now wanted to drive cause she was getting tired (not sure that sounds right, LOL). Almost the second you hit Denver the driving becomes very tough. Normally she is a good driver (for a woman, LOL) but she was scared shitless and was holding the wheel in a death grip.

 I love seeing the 1st time mountain drivers. You weren't in the right(semi) lane doing 45 with your emergency flashers on were you?

(Yes, I've actually seen people do that before-totally petrified)

I thought I did pretty good, espically compared to the GF. But overall I was average at best. We were laughing a few minutes into it at how many cars/trucks from Colorado/Utah were flying past us. It was very noticiable who was the more expierenced drivers. You would see a right laner going slow and you would look first right at their license plate and it seemed like it was never from Colorado.

ice what was your reason for moving??????? family etc?:nohead:

A lot of different reasons but not 1 in particualr.

Had a great paying job in Michigan and did fairly well at it so I was able to save some decent cash the past few years to do this. I have always wanted to be out here one time to attempt something like this. I am sure most of us on here at one time or another have wanted to do something like this "fulltime" and this was my best chance for me. I have put in a few good years betting wise so I feel "on top of my game" with all this right now.

We have no kids and we our getting older (37 years old and she is 32) and figured last shot to do something a little out of the box before settling down

Getting very frustrated with moving money offshore nowadays and sick of hearing all the rumors (but I will still play quite a bit offshore). Just too hard trying to do this fulltime over the net so figured if I was going to do this than i need to be right in the middle of all of it.

GF was bored and looking to further her career (web designer) and she got hired after putting out applications and flying here for interviews.

Probably the #1 reason is I have been able to make some decent contacts thru the forums the past few years and thru that I was offered a chace to get involved with a few reputable bettors on some smaller projects.

I am very excitied about a few other possibile oppurtunitites I may have out here and when you add it all up we figured why not. The plan is for GF to cover most of our finances to elimante the stress I would have had worring about having to pay the bills and for me to basically do all the things I have planned. Too go more or less one on one versus the sports books with my bankroll and not worry about anything else.

In 2 years if everything goes as planned we hope to be married (pretty soon with that), start a family and take all of our money (I hope quite a bit more) and pursue something else in another part of the country. Not trying to come out of this a millionaire or anything like that. I know the math and am very realistic. Just want to build up a bigger net worth. That is the plan on paper at least, LOL. Now lets see if we can execute it.

I did the same thing years ago...1981 or so. Watch the buffets, easy to put on 10-20 pounds in a few months. Take a break and head to Mt Charleston to cool down. My favorite place in Vegas. It's only about hour and half from Blue Diamond area, where you are. SoCal only about a 3-4 hour drive. Well worth a trip to DelMar for their meet. Pace yourself and take it easy in pro FB. That is where the books make their gravy. Remember, they play the Star Spangled Banner every day so don't force or chase.

Thinking of moving to Mt. Charleston

Do you still have property there?
