No college team is ever beating a NFL team no matter how bad. The jump from college to NFL is elite. Either elite as a player or as a player you have elite attributes (speed/size) they hope they can teach into a NFL player. That’s why random head scratcher guys are drafted from weird schools.
NFL teams consist of a vast majority of grown ass men. Seen it all. The speed of the game is just so much faster. The Jets Suck! But Wilson with Davis, Crowder alone would run circles around UGA. Go sit on a sideline and watch a HS game. Then go watch a College game UGA. Then go sit on a sideline and watch a NFL game. You will see real quickly the difference in the speed of the game. The size of the players and the precise movements they make. NFL rookies have commented many times to the media (interviews) on first practices or pre season games and simply said they were stunned at the size and speed of these guys on the field.
You could maybe make a decent team of just current UGA players in NFL now. Stafford Chubb Swift Green Conley Hardman. Thomas Cleveland Andrews Kindley interior. Smith Floyd Ogletree LB. DL maybe the ole washed up Atkins boys. Secondary good luck with that. Basically some good LB’s, Okay O line guys who are all basically rookies anyway. And couple real good RB’s mixed up with so so WR’s. And Even the best of the best from UGA now would have problems winning due to depth at certain areas. Who does UGA even have for DE’s in NFL? Safety (Shaun Williams)??? CB’s what the two rookies this year Stokes and Campbell. The Baker kid if he is even back in the league.
I would take all the practice squad guys from all the NFL teams to field one vs UGA and still say they would be -24 favorite. It’s like taking IMG academy with nothing but 5 star D1 guys going to big schools and saying they can hang with UGA. UGA would be 72 point favorites.
UGA is NOT beating a NFL team no matter how bad. But I’d love to see one of these types of games.
