Italianole you have always contributed great stuff in my threads
my man!! You are a good guy to know!! I really think if we all
put our minds together we can do wonders. I have a couple
of friends I do that with in Football, we put all our minds together
and we end up talking ourselves into selections.

Good little clique we have here. Could be very profitable!!

I'm thinking that AZ team total over 4.5 is looking good. They have gone over that in 6 out of their last 8 games and Pitt has given up that many in 6 out of 7 of Perez' starts this year. Those are pretty good odds!

Thanks for the thread Doc!

Yeah that looks good!! Pirates pitcher should
give up at least 5 runs himself!!

:thumbsup2:

FROM MLB.COM

Perez might be pitching for his roster spot on Thursday when he takes the mound against the Diamondbacks. His 1-5 record and 7.71 ERA indicate that a trip to Triple-A Indianapolis might be beneficial.

Look at that even Rotowire is clowning him.

DAMN and still only -121

As I've seen you say, it's about being on the "right side" and feeling you picked correctly even if you lose. I really like thinking like this.

Or apparently tailing jman while he's on fire like he currently is has the same effect :missingte

strength of AZ is their left handed hitting.
As bad as Perez has been, he's still a talent. Didn't overexert himself last time out vs. Nationals, should have plenty in the tank. This could be a statement game for him. I'm on the under.

Arizona got 10 hits off of Maholm yesterday who is a LHP. Arizona
has been hitting .261 vs LHP for the season so they have improved.

Thanks desthi, never seen this side of you. Didnt know you had
it in you. Good job

eh i figured why not, i'm still not really a fan of how you post your picks and waht not, but it's not worth holding grudges. this thread was for input on the game, figured i'd throw in my 2 cents. it's late, i'm probably not thinking coherently haha
Maholm definitely doesn't have the stuff Perez has...AZ is a hard offensive team to figure out, they can drop a 10 spot on some NL CEntral squads then get blanked by the likes of Pitt.

The Dodger bats are finally rolling, I say stay with the hot bots and Lowe has been pitching well as of late.

Never fade a guy pitching for his job. (Perez).

Do like the Dodgers to keep rolling though.

Perez is capable of shutting down anyone...he is also capable of giving up 10 runs in an inning without ever throwing a strike.

He is the kind of pitcher I like to take + money on. I don't think I will be backing him in this game, but it is tough to lay chalk against a pitcher like him that can pitch like Cy Young when he is on.

I still remember him 2 years ago putting up these SICK numbers:

30 starts
196 innings
239 strike outs
2.99 ERA
.207 opponent BA

Everyone thought he was the next dominating lefty in baseball.

With Perez' almost 2 WHIP, I just don't see how Arizona could repeatedly leave men on base inning after inning. Perez doesn't throw strikes so that would make Pitt. have to turn a hell of alot of Dp's. If Cruz isn't giving up any runs, I just don't see how Pitt. can win this one. Unless Arizona just completely quits is the only way.
