Everyone likes Dallas in this matchup. The books are just not that stupid. These two teams have been so close in every aspect of the game in two meetings this season that it is not even funny. The line of -7 DAL with a total of 103 gives you the 55:48 final score. That's all good on paper but in reality these numbers are telling a different story. Dallas is 2-7 ats in last 9 games. The only two covers happened when they scored 67 and 68 pts. Actually they scored over 60 twice more during this span but stil failed to cover. They also failed to cover twice despite allowing <50. Season-to-date they are 0-3 ats when allowing 45-51. New York is 2-0 ats as dogs when scoring 45-51. Another close game that should be decided by less than a TD.

Only play in the CFL in the week #1. Big revenge game for Toronto for the playoffs loss from last season. Already great defense, that is almost identical to last year's unit will be helped by a much improved offense, with C.Joseph as the QB. WPG has a rookie kicker, out of shape punter, a QB that had his non-throwing arm broken in the GC last season and they are without their veteran leader and best player Stegall. The secondary is unproven.

I'm not sure Stegall would be the Bombers best player. Glenn and Roberts are both more important players to the offense. You're right that it would still hurt the offense that he is out, but if I had to take a side in this game it would be Winnipeg because the Argos will probably need some time to gel on offense this year. The Bombers have a great defense as well, so it should be a close, low scoring game.

edmonton +4.5

edmonton lineupis upgraded from last season both on offense and on defense and they should be at least fighting for a playoffs spot this season unlike last yr. they've got a solid qb and some depth at the position 9unlike riders). they won big in 2nd pre-season game in this same stadium and that was a clear message to the defending champs. the storied franchise is back and the riders will have hard time defending their title. who's gone for ssk ? starting qb, whos also the teams 2nd best rusher and most outstanding player in 2007 C.Joseph, Szarka (fullback-injured), coach of the year from 2007, Perry & Hunt on defense, Matt Dominguez and M.Washington (off season knee surgeries), Holmes (released by the team). lot's of questiomarks for SSK to start the season.

i think the preseason game was played at commonwealth stadium in edmonton on grass with alot of rider starters not playing also the week before the riders thumped the division champs bc lions in regina preseason means very little in the cfl not saying edmonton doesnt cover but the riders play good at home and edmonton sucked last year just like hamilton we know how their game turned out against monteal im undecided on this game as i cant bet against my team so if i picked the riders it would be a homer pick so good luck to you
