Are you up or down lifetime in gambling?.

I think it would be interesting to see who in this forum is actually up lifetime in gambling, and who is not. We don't know a lot of people here, and it would be interesting to see who has been successful at gambling in their lives and who hasn't.

So my question is, and please ONLY HONEST ANSWERS.. don't lie, because we all know gamblers lie a lot

If you were to add up all your winnings and losses in your lifetime that you had in sports gambling, would you say you're up lifetime, or down. IOW, has making a decision in your life to be a gambler been a good one for you, or a big regret?


So just a simple answer to a simple question.

I appreciate the honest answers boys. Dante and Angus, I am sorry to hear this. But I give you boys Kudos for admitting you are down. Tough to see a gambler admit that.

If you boys want, you don't have to only say Sports Gambling. It is actually overall gambling. We want to know if the day you made the decision to gamble was a big fat mistake, or a great one. So you can throw in the poker if you want, the casino gambling, any sort of gambling.. Here is my list..

Sports- UP
Casino- Close to even (not a big sino player)
Poker- Down (I have always been a terrible poker player, that's why I quit it)

That's a completely different question, Sick. Yes, I'm way up lifetime - BUT - If you're asking if the decision to gamble was a mistake or not, then I'm not sure. All the hours spent day after day chained to the computer to make that money coulda been better spent spending more time with my daughter. Lotta guilt mixed in with those winnings. Trying to cut back now, but it's hard 'cause I'm so addicted.

 

Down, about $6 000-$8 000. Started about 15 years ago and now I am 30 years old. Nowdays I make some profit (don't check v-wagers hockey contest), but my stakes are very small.

I like the decision to start gambling. It is not the best habit for family sake, but we each must have something to do we enjoy. I am down overall. Wish I had the exact numbers. I have never missed a payment on debt because of wagering, so I have no problems with it. Most of my friends have wasted their monies on something or another over time. I guess my waste has been some gambling. One thing for sure though is since I found The Rx.com, my ratio of winners is picking up.

MD kid, I couldn't agree with you more. I am in the same position as you. Yes, I am up lifetime, but was this decision to be a sports bettor really worth it? NO NO NO.. What it did was take away all my time from my life and work an honest living and meet people and socialize more and today, Sick Gambler would definitely be married with a family instead of still gambling, although I am working at this as we speak, and I will be married within the next 18 months, mark my words on that one, as I'm 38 still and the clock is ticking, but the game ain't over yet. I want a son so badly, and thank god I am a man, because if I was a woman at 38, my dreams of having that son would be in jeopardy. But yes, I regret gambling too in a way because I never learnt to be a man and get a real job and tackle on real responsibilities of holding a job, and I too could have done way more useful things in my life and not stayed home to gamble for the last 23 years.

Bookies should answer too because if you are a bookie and have made money booking, then that should count as being UP in gambling as booking involves gambling.

Fishhead and Stealth, you broke down your gambling, yet you didn't give us the most important, which is the final result, UP or DOWN overall.

Come on boys, lets hear it, don't be shy.. UP or DOWN lifetime? No lying please.. And remember, we don't want to hear figures (how much you're up or down)

Before I started gambling, I was a big follower of sports especially cricket, NBA and NFL so I knew the teams pretty well. For that reason I do not put alot of extra time studying stats.

I have been pretty lucky so far because I am up but only a few thousand.
