they take it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too far, same color cleats required for all players, Chris Simms wore low cut socks in college, can't do that in the NFL, Jake Plummer getting fined for wearing the 42 (Tillman) decal on his helmet, Charles Woodson got fined weekly with the Raiders b/c he cut his jersey at the waist instead of tuck it in, Mike Nolan couldn't wear a suit on the sideline b/c it didn't have a reebok logo, here are some more for you:
Chin straps must be completely buckled, and must be white in color.
Any tape, other than opaque white tape, on arms is prohibited. No black tape or team colored tape is permitted.
Wearing sleeves of improper lengths is a violation. Sleeves need to be either all the way up under the jersey or all the way down to the wrist area.
Wrist bands must be black or white.
Pants must be pulled down over the knee
# Players are issued a two-piece sock. One part is white, and the other part is the team color like blue for the Rams. If a player has only the white or only the blue showing, that's a violation. # The white sock, worn over the full-length stockings in team colors, must extend to the midpoint of the lower leg. Stockings must meet the pants below the knee.
NFL teams wearing black shoes must wear black shoelaces, and white-shod teams must wear white laces.
I actually like a little personality in the uniforms, like in college with the numbers being all over the place. NFL sucks compared to college IMO, too corporate and uptight, no personality, no emotion, all offenses are the same, not nearly as exciting as college for me.
