Someone can be wiser but what difference does it make when someone does not have their health. No one is as healthy at 45 compared to their 20's or 30's.

VIEJO DINOSAUR, You asked for my daily routine? I usually awake @ 7:30 am & go upstairs & make my wife coffee [she's 56 & disabled with many problems] get her her breakfast & put out her pain pills. I go back downstairs & wash/brush teeth & take my daily meds for BP,& HEART problems.I will catnap for the next couple hours as she will call me about once every hour for a fresh cup of coffee which i will go up & get her.It is now around 11:00 am i will get on p/c& check email & check out the rx & then start scouring the net & other forums for info for some good daily wagers. It is now about 1:00 PM so i go up & make my wife & i a sandwhich for lunch. She will take a nap after lunch for a couple of hours, i will check the mail & make any calls that have to be made such as making/cancelling her DR.appt's,calling in her rx's & maybe some business calls if any.I will get back on the p/c, check lines & other info needed for capping/wagering for the next few hours, i will put in the early game wagers, I will then go up & start preparing dinner as it is now around 5-5:30, i will put it in the oven & try to eat around 6:30 or so. We are used to eating late as we used to eat around 8:00pm when i was working as i worked long hours in sales. After eating i will clean up the kitchen, do the dishes, check to see what else the wife needs before i go back down to the den where i sleep on the couch so i can hear my wife, watch tv & use the p/c. my wife smokes, can hardly walk as she is in a recliner 24hrs a day as she cannot lay flat in a bed due to suffering from adult scoliosis, diabetes, depression & menopause. We don't spend much time together in the same room/area as she constantly has a cigarette in her hand/mouth & i can't stand them & with my heart condition. We eat together in the living room as that is about the only time she does not smoke, it is a big problem but she does nothing else but sleep, smoke watch tv & talks on the phone some,I have had her to cleveland clinic & to about 7-8 other neurosurgeons & none will do surgery on her back as she wants due to the severity of the operation & maybe death from the operation. After cleaning up the kitchen i go back down to the den check the scores of early games get info off p/c for maybe somelate nite game wagers. I will settle in & watch some games, laying on the couch. After the late games are over it is now around midnight i then go back up & help the wife to the small powder room so she can do whatever to get ready to retire for the night. I will clean up around her chair area put out her night pills/meds & help her get ready to retire for the night.I will then go back down, shower & take my few meds & then retire to the couch where i sleep & if not too tired i will play some holdem tourneys online, but usually go to sleep around 3-4am as the only really free time i have is from about 1:00am to about 3-4 am as my wife needs me a lot during the day just to maybe get her ice for her soda pop or some other small chore. Besides my daily routine i do all the grocery shopping, pay all the bills, go to dr.visits with my wife, wash clothes & somecleaning. Now that summer is upon us i have to cut the grass which takes a couple hours with the gasmower & keep yard neat/clean. Don't mean to go into detail but that pretty well sums up my days. Sorry for my grammar & punctuations but i am not that educated as i had to help support our family running numbers at a very young age as we lost our father when he was pretty young. I will be 72 in sept. we are on fixed income of ss retirement & my wife gets a small ss disability check so we/i have to watch our money pretty closely. The extra money i win goes to meds & dr.bills which insurance does not pay for. Our home is pd for as the same with auto so we just have utilities, food, insurance & dr. bills & meds & maybe some other unforseen expenses.Nuff Said, lol

Your wife is a lucky person to have you...continued hapiness together and hope your wife gets well...:toast:

I'm 34 and wish I were 21 or so. I'm in great shape, good job, yada yada but if I could go back to my college years I would in a second.

That said, I can't wait until I retire either, just without the being old and crusty part!
