Are we still certain of Phil Jacksons brilliance?

Seeing the way he is running the Knicks, who again, arent even competitive, in the east, I just cant help but think that Jordan was more of a player coach than ever being credit for. You knew what Melo was, and you thought you could change him. Huge ego on Jackson, I give him that. His moves have been bad at best.

I loved the comments from Jerry Krause when asked if Jordan ever tried to influence the roster through trades or the draft" Never, not once. He didnt think he needed them"

I think its a real possibility, that Jordan is under rated.

It's become fairly clear that Phil's not your guy if you need someone to build a roster. On the other hand, if you need someone to light some sage in the locker room to "drive out bad thoughts", he's definitely your guy.

The thing is that he inherited those talent-rich rosters and put them over the top. Doug Collins and Del Harris didn't win anything with those teams.

As a Knicks fan.....He`s disappointed me.

Season is already over and this team couldn`t make the playoffs in the east.

As a Bulls fan, have issues calling him overated. He's the Zen Master. I think he can make a great team a championship team (which is probably as tough to do), but he can't make a scrap heap a contender. He also may be failing to adapt to the new spread and fire NBA. He gets credit for devising the Triangle, but I believe that was really Tex Winters scheme.

He did come into the Knicks handcuffed with little cap flexibility and questionable roster...but he did New York no favors bringing in the '11 MVP and the corpse of Joakim Noah.

I always thought he was overrated, but managing egos seems to be one of the biggest struggles in coaching and Phil did pretty well with that. Comparing to what he did as a coach and his role with the Knicks is now, seems to different.
