my wife just got a speeding ticket...

actually the first ticket she has recevied in her lifetime and the first thing she has ever been involved with pertaining to the law...she is 30

aside from the cop saying she was doing 61 in a 35 (when the road she was driving on was full of morning traffic at the time so that would be next to impossible) I noticed something else on the back of this ticket that WAS NOT on a speeding ticket I received about a year ago

now...I would assume since all departments are different maybe this is just the way this certain department does it....we are in california....in a city 'suburb' outside of sacramento

check this out...it says if you wish to contest this violation you MUST go into the police department headquarters and do the following

ADULT MISDEMEANORS: Before the date you are to appear in court, you must be fingerprinted and photographed. Bring this citation to the blah blah blah dept. If you fail to be fingerprinted and photographed prior to your courtdate, the court will decline to hear your case.

ARE YOU SERIOUS??

sooooo....now if someone wants to contest a ticket in this country....make the cop show up and explain himself....THEY HAVE TO DO WHAT GETS DONE TO PEOPLE THAT ARE BOOKED INTO JAIL??

for that reason alone....Im going to pay this ticket tomorrow....have her do online traffic school....and get it taken off the record

my first thought was fight it....because I know this punk cop is just out there scamming people....not to say she wasent going over the speed limit....maybe she was....but 61 in a 35....please...the cop is putting a little on it....like 90% of cops do in every report or ticket they submit...its all about getting that pat on the back for generating monies for their dept

but after reading what I just read pertaining to the police wanting to do booking procedures just to contest a speeding ticket...I decided just to give them their chump change and move on....its all about tracking us boys

its all about making a file on us....having our information....knowing when we take a shit....basically....IMO....when people say we are in a police state...the are 100% correct

its something like this that leads me to believe that those people who spread the word about being in a police state ARE NOT 'kooks'

those 'kooks' are actually the ones who are AWARE of what is happening around us

and thats the last thing 'they' want....are a bunch of AWARE americans roaming the streets

That is bullshit and no doubt a violation of your rights to privacy. BTW, if your wife would have shown her 30 year old perky tits to this pigg he probably would have let her off. I know of a few cops on here that will take issue with that but its just my opinion. Most cops for the most part are power hungry pricks. But again, that to the best of my knowledge doesn't quantify a finger printing and photo. And yes, this is becoming a police state if it already isn't. The main reason for this is that the population is distracted and too dumbed down to know any better.

I see this dept harrassing black people ALOT...like on average when I go out...I see at least ONE black person pulled over on the side of the road a day

a few months ago they beat up some black kids in my apts...then shut down all access to the apts so the news crew couldnt get in

but Im sure these cases are not limited to just my place of residence

I bet its 10x worse in the southern states

With that said, i would have let her off the hook if she smiled and has big tits like you said. If i was a cop i would have let her go no doubt. Then again, I am one of the few people who would actually admit to using my job to get laid. Im not proud of it, but it is what it is.

This country thou is in a serious need of wake up call. 9-11 was just a major step into the wrong direction as it really made people look to government for answers rather then looks at themselves. We need more people like you who see the inherent dangers of shit like this, because the masses would just assume nothing and pay the ticket without even questioning a thing. And that leads me to the theory of, questioning everything, especially when it comes to monetary issues. People need to start realizing the government works for us, and they should fear us... not the other way around. If not, we will no doubt be looking at a far different country in 30 or so years.

Modern policemen are a glorified type of government and local tax collector for much of their working week.

Its called TIA. since 2003 they have been gathering INFO - data mining - on ordinary American citizens.

FROM THE ACLU--------

TIA Program
asset_upload_file704_14956.gif
"Total Information Awareness" may be the closest thing to a true "Big Brother" program that has ever been seriously contemplated in the United States. TIA is based on a vision of pulling together as much information as possible about as many people as possible into an "ultra-large-scale" database...

What is wrong with the TIA Program?

It would kill privacy in America. Under this program, every aspect of our lives would be catalogued and made available to government officials. Americans have the right to expect that their lives will not become an open book when they have not done, and are not even suspected of doing, anything wrong.
It is based on virtual dragnets instead of individualized suspicion. TIA would represent a radical departure from the centuries-old Anglo-American tradition that the police conduct surveillance only where there is evidence of involvement in wrongdoing. It would seek to protect us by monitoring everyone for signs of wrongdoing - by instituting a giant dragnet capable of sifting through the personal lives of Americans. It would ruin the very American values that our government is supposed to be

protecting.
It would not be effective. The program is based on highly speculative assumptions about how databases can be tapped to stop terrorism, and there are good reasons to suspect that it would not work at all (see below).
It fails basic balancing tests. The benefits of this program in stopping terrorism are highly speculative, but the damage that it would do to American freedom is certain.

TIA - Total Information Awareness - they want to be aware of YOU- but they dont want you being aware of THEM.

PGIVEN, I think you're confused by California using the same citation form for both traffic violations and also a variety of misdemeanor criminal charges - notably possession of small amounts of pot.

Many low level criminal misdemeanors don't involve arrest. (pot possession, public intoxication, disturbing the peace etc)

The cop(s) simply write a citation with an order to appear in court if you wish to contest the criminal charge. In such an event, you must first go in for a "booking" (photo and prints).

However, for simple traffic violations, your old lady's offense was not an "adult misdemeanor" so she is not required to go through the criminal booking process.

Thats because most blacks are up to no good...There should be a checkpoint where Blacks & Mexicans are the only ones pulled over that way they could fill the jail beds up.

I dont mind generalizations but i would assume this isnt that accurate, however the crime rate is way above average, but not "most" are up to no good. With that said, what is the root of that problem? Its very complicated and doesnt have anything to do with slavery as it might manipulation.

Yeah manipulation to do wrong & get away with it using slavery & racial profiling as an excuse...The only part you're right about is I should'nt have said "most" but a higher percentage & it's not that complicated.
