Are we ready to say the Seahawks have made the best free agency moves thus far?

Seattle has made some good moves no doubt. But your fandom makes you too bias.

No way man. If someone had a better off season then I'd say so. Mike Wallace is not worth that money and is not even a #1 WR or the Steelers would've paid him accordingly. Miami had a good free agency though and Denver did as well until this Dumerville debacle.

Miami and Seattle both had stellar offseasons but my vote goes to seattle based on one factor, even with these additions Miami is at best a middle of the pack team...seattle went from contender to early favorite...they had few gaping holes on their roster and addressed them all...Miami still has holes...for that reason by a slight edge hawks.

lots more Miami has done in free agency this off season that Wallace.
They added lots of pieces, but also are very likely to lose Jake Long and they already lost Bush (and as much as I like Miller, I don't think he can handle a full workload and seemed to have some ball security issues and had the tendency to dance around too much. Thomas imo is nothing more than a backup at this point). So their running game is in worse shape than last year and this also should hurt their pass protection for Tannehill.
On the defensive side the loss of Smith at CB is also a pretty big one, but they for sure upgraded their LBs....

I really hope they keep jake long

lost fasano and gained Dustin Keller....lose a bit in blocking but gain a lot in speed/offense at the TE

bush was too injury prone...i hope they address the RB issue in the draft (lots of rookies running like beasts last year)

there are holes but they seem to be filling up pretty good

Being from Seattle I feel that the Hawks addressed more needs during this period then any other club. They also had less needs to be addressed and thus are a stronger team as a whole. Wallace will stretch the field and make the long ball catch, which would of allowed Reggie Bush more room to run had they of kept him.
Harvin's style is that of a playmaker and his yards after catch is where he is most dangerous. The man is "gettin paid" and Rice along with Wilson will keep him in line, but the release of Leon Washington is now of concern if the return duties are left to Harvin and leave him open to injuries.
Defensively I think Seattle addressed its most glaring need with two young pass rushers and a cumulative 18 sacks or so, I don't see any other team which made as great of moves on the D side.

Good point about the draft, should have a couple of decent options in there:
Imo they have to add at least one RB by draft, at least there are capable options available to form a committee. Will be interesting to see, how this pans out. But at least the added receiving options should spread the field for Miller + X.
Like the "trade" Keller for Fasano, although that's another move that weakens their blocking and esp. with a rookie RB in the backfield, Tannehill might be in for some hard hits...
Don't agree on the "bush too injury prone" part though: Since he got out of NO and the Superdome, he made 15 and 16 games for MIA, was nicked up at times, but all RBs are. Because of that I'm interested to see how Bush will hold up @DET...

Wrong, the Steelers would not have. Pretty obvious, since they didn't. Certain players just don't mesh with the Steelers with their attitude. Harvin is awesome when healthy which he has a hard time staying. Thanks for the attitude though. I was starting to be a Hawks fan. Thanks for setting me straight.
