Are the Ravens the play this week? Before I pull the trigger, would like to get some thoughts..

Raiders playing at 10am their time.. Traveling cross country, coming off a very emotional hard fought game where hard hitting was an understatement. Game went 78 minutes..

Ravens had an easy game last week.. What am I missing here? Ravens right?

I'm a little biased obviously but I think they cover.

I really don't see how Oakland will score with Jamarcus Russell at QB. That dude is flat-out bad. Oakland will not be able to run.

Only thing that scares me is Flacco making mistakes against a good secondary. Should be a heavy dose of mcgahee, mcclain and rice.

This bad boy will go way under the total.

Agreed Gyno. The only way the Ravens lose this game is if Flacco makes mistakes. Ravens are the play here. I am surprised the spread has dropped.

if i had to pick, i would take the ravens here..... they should force some turnovers and raiders may not get into the endzone..... unless their d scores.........
but it is tough to lay pts with a below avg. balt offense

Just too many points to lay in my opinion with a poor Balt Offense against an OAK Defense that really has been looking strong. could easily see this being a 17-13, 21-16 type game. Really didn't think Russell looked bad at all last week had a nice TD to Javon Walker and didn't turn the ball over. Gonna probably lay off but if I had to I'd take the points.

I don't know about Baltimore as a favorite. Its great when they're getting points. Just don't trust them in the role as a favorite. One of these west coast teams is due to get that first win during the noon games too.

Laying over a TD with the Ravens is tough to do, I wouldn't be able to play them. I agree that Oakland could have trouble scoring with Russell as their QB, but they have a pretty good defense and they should at least keep it close. I see a 23-20 type of game.

Not possible 60 + 15 = 75. :nohead:

Game actually went 73 mins, but I get your point. Just screwing around, don't take my comments too seriously. Also, ravens had an easy game b/c they played an easy team. Don't know if Oak is any better than Miami. Guess we will find out. Good luck whatever you decide.

Holy Shnikey, MIA is not an easy team. The gm was a lot closer than the score shows. The Pennington pick-6 was the whole gm. Take that silly mistake away, and MIA probably pulls out the win. In fact, if Chad had just lobbed it, the play would've resulted in a long run, possibly leading to a score. And MIA "allowed" HOU to win that one. So all these MIA self-destructions (including not scoring the game-tying TD vs NYJ on the 10) could have been easily avoided, resulting in a 5-1 record! That's no exaggeration, as I've watched every painful minute thus far.

Also as far as OAK being sleepy because west coast team playing at 1pm eastern start time... They did go to Buff and cover easily, really should have even won the game outright. Just something else to consider. GL.

An NFL team "allowing" another team to win, good one.

There was a post on Covers about teams travelling 2 time zones east and the home team is 5-1 ATS in those games. One thing for sure the under is definitely in play in this game.

Good Luck to all

Oakland also went to New Orleans for a 1pm ET start as a 7 pt dog and got hammered 34-3.

Gyno,
How ya doin buddy. I know we usually talk it up in the NCAAF forum across the street, but good to see you here also. If you ask me, the play this week is...

MIAMI +1.5

Just as good as ARI was against Dallas and just as good as BUF was against SD last week.

As always... aloha.
