It would be possible General. I have 4 computers sitting on my desk with two hooked up to my cable modem, one through DSL (redundency) and one offline for security purposes. I also keep a dial up account just in case my cable and dsl go down. About 50% of the time I can jump on my neighbors open wireless-g network.
Theoretically I could be on TheRx with four different names on four different computers all with different IP addresses (3 static and 1 dynamic) at the same time. Five if I walked upstairs to my wifes office (forgot about that one).
Using IP addresses isn't exaclty proof of a posters identity. I know that if you were to check Northern Star and I share the same IP sometimes. We both have offices in the same building. Since I only go to the office about once a week that doesn't happen often though.
In this case you could only have 2 unique accounts.
The 3 DSL ip's static or not would most likely point to the same region of the country. Your dialup might be seperate although it is probably a backup and is registered to the same ISP.
Example:
(YOUR 2 DSL IP'S)-Note only the last 3 ever change. Unless you change DNS servers. They would still be registered to the same ISP.
55.5.111.25
55.5.111.98
(DIAL UP IP)
68.222.2.36- Might be very different than the first 3 but would still be registered to your orginal IP if it is the backup account.
(Cable Connection)
Same thing although even more definitive as most cable Ip's route to the user's actual city instead of server location
I could tell you were the same person with ease. Then again the average person here probably don't know as much about computers and technology as I do.
