I kind of am beginning to think so. There are still very generous odds out there for Clev to win the Eastern Conf (ie WSEX still has 24-1 in the interactives).

They have a superstar that can literally carry them on his back if all else fails.

They are really playing well as a "team."

The Larry Hughes brother tragic death situation has given them an emotional cause to rally behind.

They appear well coached.

If they can spring a upset of Detroit in game 5, I see them getting by the Pistons in 6. I doubt they lose a home game the rest of the playoffs (as long as their playoffs last).

I think Clev would match up well against Miami, as they have enough bangers to shut down Shaq and LaBron can outscore Wade, plus Cleve has the better "team" chemistry right now.

Whoa, easy killer. No, this team is not a team of destiny, IMO. Yes, they may APPEAR to be playing "well", but I would disagree with that assesment as well.

Don't forget its only two games. Cleveland HAS to win in Detroit, wheras Detroit DOES NOT HAVE TO win in Cleveland.

That being said, I see no way in which the Cavs spring an upset in Game 5 at Detroit. The spread should probably be around the 9 point chalk, I would guess.

I don't think Cleveand is playing all that well to where they should be considered a great team or team of destiny. Lets not forget the 74 points they scored in Mondays game was a record for lowest points scored in a postseason game for Cleveland. I think its more of Detroit beating Detroit, more than Cleveland really beating Detroit. Not typical of Piston basketball, but they had an off night from the floor and looked sluggish overall and these things happen from time to time.

Detroit in 6 or maybe 7, but probably 6. Billups, Hamilton, Wallace, Wallace and Prince over James, Snow, Varejo, Marshall and Gooden...no contest.
Also give Detroit an edge in bench play.

Two games Cleveland won at home and they surely didn't impress me with their play. They played well enough to win those two games, sure, but impressive style play to where I would be worried as a Piston fan, not so much.

Zero chance they win this series, even if Lebron averages 50 the rest of the way. Detroit is the most lackidasical team in the NBA, but after losing tonight, I'd be shocked if they lost another in this series. And there's no chance they lose at home.

Cavs have too many holes...the Pistons just need to start caring a little more. They're not gonna roll over the Heat or anyone from the West playing the way they are now.

OK, I see its me against the world. :howdy:

I still see value in Cavs at 24-1 to win the East, they have about a 1 in 10 chance, IMO.

You still think this if they are without Rasheed Wallace? Why did they say he will be suspended for the next game for getting a tech?

No I think he was saying they dont need him getting a second tech or missing a game.
If he was ejected, he wouldnt be on the bench right now.

Oh ok. I thought Reggie said he will have to miss game 6 because of that.
