Are the book makers asking for money to be laid on the NYG at home against Washington?

Line is -4.

Any given Sunday and it's a huge divisional rivalry but it just seems like it doesn't add up. Washington is a desperate 0-2 team but they're just not very good. Add to that the players are turning on Cousins, their head coach was questioning him in the media... seems like a team that's about to implode and hit rock bottom very early in the season.

Washington I believe is 2-7 (dating back to '07) playing in East Rutherford.

The Giants have the clear cut advantage across the board. Are people just not sold on the Giants as a legitimate team right now? I guess you could say two underwhelming wins against not so great teams but if you look underneath the surface the Giants look like they're about to break out very soon and fire on all cylinders. It should have happened against N.O. but all the drops and fumbles prevented that.

More importantly during the two wins Odell has been somewhat pedestrian according to his standards --- which is encouraging because it means we have other play makers for a change.

Anybody want to share their thoughts? Thanks. BOL to everyone this week

Sorry was looking at the opening line.

I played it at -4.5 earlier in week on my teaser, lol......so I got +5.5........a lot of guys not wanting Kirk Cousins to be their Qb..........I wouldn't be surprised to see a Giants blowout.

Right, that's the way I see it. Wondering why the line is dropping so much. Guessing a lot of people don't believe the Giants are a good team. Can't think of anything else.

The Giants have 3 serious weapons in their passing game now and a much improved defense. They are also at home which is worth about 3 points give or take so on a neutral field they are saying these teams are even. I'm like you, not buying it based on how we have seen Kirk Cousins play (unreliable) and also the coaching of the redskins is questionable at best. Josh Norman can only cover one guy at a time and the Giants know this, they will have other guys to throw to while they set up openings for Beckham Jr.

Also lots of random drops/fumbles on that saints game which kept the score close at 16-13 Giants vs. Saints. They had some crucial red zone misses or else that game would have looked quite a bit different. Scoreboard is not very telling in that game.

At -3 this is a no brainer on the Giants for me.

Thanks BIG, I'm in full agreement. I know it's a general rule of thumb not to make it a habit to bet on your team because some people can't separate bias but I think the Giants are going to be a cash cow early on this year. I got $450 on it and a few teasers with TCG.

Let's cash this week!

We have our starting RT and starting FS OUT which could explain the line movement. I also don't think a lot of people are sold on the Giants.

Now keep in mind our starting RT gave up 2 sacks last week to N.O. so that's not a big downgrade. I actually think Bobby Hart is a better fit at RT and we may sprinkle in Will Beatty this week.

The thing is, Cousins has been erratic this year, he has not proven to be consistent.

If he does not throw with some accuracy then the Giants should win handily. He might. But odds are, he will not suddenly become accurate again. Eventually, maybe, but odds are, not this week.

Those 2 positions don't move the spread......the only.offensive lineman that might move the spreads point is the starting center.

I don't think Eli will have many problems with the Skins defense.

I don't like the Giants in this spot. They might win but not cover the contests 4.5.

Admitted Redskins homer here ...

I think the Skins stand a very good chance of winning this game SU. I have watched every snap this year and am one of the few that feels the critisim of Cousins is largely unwarranted. Sure he's missed some easy looks, but so do most middle-tier QBs in the Leage (which is where Captain Kirk rightfully belongs). This is a desperate brunch with a potentially explosive offense. They have shown flashes of what they are capable of and move the ball very efficiently between the 20s. Their play calling in the red zone has been ATROCIOUS and I believe (hope) the coaching staff is competent enough to make common sense adjustments based on past failures.

Although Matt Jones ran the ball pretty effectively against Dallas, the running game is nothing to hang your hat on. I expect to see a pass-heavy game plan aimed at putting 35+ on the board.

Those with the unfortunate pleasure of watching the Redskins first 2 games know that they have been consistently gouged with underneath throws. I expect Norman to cover OBJ most of (if not all of) the game, leaving Shepard/Cruz one-on-one with Breland. Eli should be able to pick apart the Skins D, provided that he is willing to take what he is given.

If I were a betting man (which I am) I would put my money on the over (which I have). The Redskins have not proved that they can stop anyone to date and I expect them to come out with an offensive scheme reflective of that and aim for winning in a barn burner. Good luck to all whichever side you choose.

I am not playing this game (at least I don't think I will).

At the beginning when I guessed the lines I thought it would be NYG -3, maybe with a -120 or so. So I was a little suprised it was that high. I thought it may have been an overreaction to the first 2 weeks. The Skins were the division winners last year and I figured they would be considered equal teams, at this stage.

But even though I saw some value when the line was -4.5 I didn't feel like betting it. And now that it is -3 I see no value at all. I feel like the game could go either way, which is why I guessed 3 before I even saw the line.

4.5 was too much in a divisional game where the teams have such familiarity with each other. Sharps took that position and now the chasers are driving it lower. If I can get NYG -3 I think that's a decent bet.
