only a fool thinks like that , jesus christ said " i am the way , the truth & the light . no man comes to the father except through me " jesus is the door that leads to eternal life

By the standards of this board I guess you could put me in the "religious" column. I definitely believe in God and seek his guidance daily.

But I believe that we each have individual paths to heaven. And I think that "God" can be many things to many people. I like Trends "spokes" analogy. I think it pretty much is as good as anything else to define different people's paths to God.

This is such a weird random thread. I'm not a religious guy but I don't give two shits if people are.

If religion gives people something to believe in, great. How does it impact you?

the thought of hell should scare you , your a damn fool if it doesn't , lol . you can believe anything you want ...... if you want to believe that the moon is a giant marshmellow that's o.k , , if you want to believe that that democrats truly care about america .... hey , thats your right homeboy ..... but it's wrong . jesus christ is the son of god & god himself ( i can only marvel at the mystery of the holy trinity ) . you dont believe , that's o.k. & that's on you but when your time comes & your facing god on judgment day ...... you being good wont get you inside those pearly gates , you'll still be a sinner , god himself will look at you & since you never accepted his son's sacrifice on the crucifix he won't see his son's blood covering your sins & your name wont be found in the book of life ..... thus he must send you to hell . their is still time , it's only too late after you have passed on

Personally I don't believe in god. I would really be worried if I was one of the millions of church-goers who dress up on sunday and go through the motions of being religious but are terrible human beings the other six days of the week. If there is a god, he must love when the fake believers show up!

It impacted people in Sri Lanka on Easter.

What impacted people in Sri Lanka on Easter? Their religious beliefs impacted them on Easter because they were religious?

Very strange post.

People die all the time being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Those people in Sri Lanka were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Just unfortunate. Being in the wrong place at the wrong time happens daily.

Religion. Did I stutter?

People who follow the Koran and it's teachings tried to eradicate as many Christians as they could on Easter. In Sri Lanka.

In the name of religion. You asked how religion could impact people. I gave a great example.

People having strong religious beliefs doesn't impact me at all. It doesn't impact you at all.

It impacted some people in Sri Lanka because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. That happens in life.

You missed the entire point of the exchange. My point was people and their religious beliefs have no impact on me or you. People dying in a church in Sri Lanka has zero impact me or you.

Are you comparing 200+ Sri Lankan's being killed in multiple locations to 3,000+ Americans being killed by terrorists who hijacked airlines and crashed them into two of the most iconic buildings in the world? Both are bad but not even close to being comparable.

Apples to cantaloupes my friend.

You're right. Killing a few hundred Sri Lanka's compares very favorably to 9/11. Good comparison.
of course i'm right...we were talking about how...some strong religious person has no impact on you...but know must think you only care about numbers...or is it because you don't care about dead sri lankans and do care about dead americans only???

It's all good. No worries.

I wonder if several NATO countries including the U.S. will now deploy troops to Sri Lanka to engage in combat for the next 15+ years similar to what happened after 9/11?
