Very interesting thread. My concern is simply this. You will obviously need a lot of different outs to be able to pull this off successfully more than a handful of times. The more books, the more different bets offered. I can't think of a dozen books that I would want to deposit money in right now. Maybe I'm too cautious though. Is that problematic for the guys who attempt to do this?

I wonder the same.. wouldn't one have to live or have addresses outside of the US. Not enough solid books available to americans. Those availabe will shut you down or limit if serious money is being made.

Scalping is profitable and books don't mind...if I ever have to go back to work, that is what I will fall back on...

Nowadays you just have to deal with reputable books...

90% of all sucessful bettors are scalpers. Beating 11/10 is damn near impossible. There are websites like betbrain.com, tipex.com that show you the scalps. You can also get software that will scour the net looking for arbitrages (scalps) and tell you exactly how much to wager at each spot to ensure a profit. Look around but you are not gambling and you are pond scum to books. The sharp linemakers like Pinnacle dont care because you will be on the wrong side most of the time.
