I served overseas as well, served in a combat zone out in the field, and I suffer no forms of PTSD... Yet 2 guys that were in my unit (who were always in the rear for various excuses and profiles), seemed to suffer PTSD.
I think there are some valid cases, but others *fake* it to get benefits and less duty. And yes, I do agree to some point that it does have to do with some sort of toughness, whether mental or physical.

That's one person's opinion. Others disagree. This is the same man who thinks John McCain wasn't a war here because he was captured.

PTSD has nothing to do with how tough you are. It's an actual chemical change in the brain. You can be the toughest military guy out there and still get PTSD. Some people can cope with it, some can't, but it's not a choice whether you get it or not. There's been so many studies done on it.
