All kinds of shit is coming out in time - this is the FBI - local police have 2 people sniff around - the FBI sends 200 agents - they just have insane resources - AZ, Duke and KY are all over the reports - like Bobby Knight said - we have one of the most prolific coaches in college that has already put two previous schools on probabtion (he hates Cal) - but some of these players so obviously were paid - Noel Nerlens was going to GT - Quade Green was going to Cuse - Duke has 1, 2 and 3 for next year - um, ok

will be interesting to see, but I have to admit I'm very skeptical about any of this really leading anywhere

I think they're are thousands of violations every year, some far worse than others, but I doubt anybody is doing anything. I'm not even certain why the FBI is involved, although there may be legitimate law enforcement reasons and the coaches are just collateral damage

Maybe the players all choose the same school because they see how the NBA stars are behaving, they're just watching the adults (maybe)

This is the NCAAs version of “too big to fail”. The top programs all bend the rules knowing the NCAA cannot ban Kansas, Duke, NC, Kentucky, MSU, Zona, etc all at the same time. It gives them a bigger advantage over the mid-level programs and insulates them them from punishment because “they all do it”.

My solution: Just stop all this paying kid's money. Only pay for their tuition and their room when on scholarship. You should have to stay in college for 4 years and get passing grades and actually go to class when possible. No leaving early for the draft. The really good players will want to play and not sit on the bench. So all of them will not go to Duke, NC, Kentucky, etc. Meaning more all around balance as they attend other colleges so they can be the star and build their resume for the NBA.

just pay them. this is america. if you can monetize your talents in any way you should do them. the schools make a killing off of these players but a stupid rule forces them to go to school for 1 year before playing in the nba. that rule needs to go first and foremost, if your ready then go play pro ball and if you make a mistake and go early and dont get drafted then tough shit. you gotta work like the rest of us. there were people saying that bad advice tells a kid to go pro and then they dont get drafted and then what.....well then they gotta work another profession. stop trying to protect people from their own bad choices. if you can do a radio show and get paid while in college then you should be able to do it. if someone wants to pay you to wear a shoe then fine. its the company that sponsors them that runs the risk so who really cares. one kid may make more than another on a team....sounds like a you problem and you gottta get over it.

If somehow you stop payments, (doubt it) you shouldn't tell players they have to stay in college. You shouldn't have to go. Let them play in Europe (they would get more of an education there then at a college) or in the G-Leagueand pro teams can pay them $100000. If they do go to college, a minimum of 2 years. It's a dirty world out there. That's why Wisconsin is an ideal program. Clean and good enough to get close to the dirty programs, but unfortunately usually fall short because they Don't pay for the elite talent.

some forget that this is an NBA rule..NBA realized they were paying to much for potential and projects. Personally , I could care less about the NBA , so if it fucks up that league to a certain degree , so be it. I'd just like to see what's best for the college game.
