Apex Situation Thread

There appears to be problems, or at least rumors of problems at Apex sportsbook. Personally I do not know any details, nor has any other Mod mentioned anything about the situation to me. That said, I believe it is fair to have a thread open to discuss the situation. Please leave any references to the Sick Gambler problem in the rubber room thread. Posters with any other information are welcomed to reply with it here.

true story:

I got a call from APEX about 15 days ago or so...I created an account there a while back...anyway I never posted up...but was thinking of posting up as it was a partner at OGD aswell as Secure Gaming Alliance....

I was offered a 40% Bonus if I posted up...Anyway that is all I know...I told the guy I would think about it...

Why discuss a sh*t book that only had middlers, scalpers, etc. playing there?
I thought the RX was the only place left over that had gamblers that bet to win.

Believe that was a 40% MATCHPLAY, not CASH.

He told me it was a 5 X rollover....

To be honest around the very same time I had received an email offering a Bonus Play of 40% from APEX...so when I was talking to the guy I was very clear in asking him wether or not he was offering me a Bonus Play or a CASH BONUS....He didnt seem to know what I was talking about!!!! I had to explain to him in detail the difference between a Bonus Play & CASH like 3 times & I still dont think he understood it!!!!...anway I told him I would consider posting up with his shop on my next pay day (I was gonna investigate the OGD & SGA affiliations they have) & asked him to call me back in 10 Days on that Friday but he never did...

Good thing...I guess...

Clevefan - as far as I'm concerned you are welcome in fact more than welcome to share any info about Apex. Just leave SG out of it, his personnel situation is his business.

Wilhelm, thank you, yes, apex is toast, imo...there are those that say this book will be okay, but they will not....they have been hit, and have been hit hard. I am surprised that there has not been a whisper or a post of this book being in desperation , but i feel due to some of the clientel here, that this is a good announcement...........sorry for bringing up one of the people who took this book down, I will not bring his name up again, out of respect for wilhelm

Cleve thanks for the info and the curtesy. I hope any Rx. posters and lurkers are able to use your info to in some way avoid any financial losses should Apex close or turn into slowpay mode. Apex is invited to reply here, or open a new thread, if they happen to be reading what has been posted here.

and in this case (regarding Apex, and back with G.A. which turned out being 100% correct) you seem to be onto something...no reason though to put that personal info about Uncle on the forums Clev.

Some things are out of bounds , that was one ...15 yards Clev..OUT OF BOUNDS

Journeyman - Please remember this is about Apex not about private feuds between posters. I would appreciate if you would edit your post so we can have a thread about whether Apex is in fact having financial trouble. There is a thread in the RR if you care to use it for other business.
