I can't see this being offshore. How would they get the video feed ? I'm curious how this one works out. The bonus is very odd, also !

upon logging in to the sportsbook playrealsportsbook.com, I was re-directed to www.betonusa.com

never heard of them before. sbr rates them a D-.

Interesting. Dania Jai-Alai, a Florida land-based and 100% legal and state taxed gambling operation is referring people to an offshore betting site that accepts neteller and will take on-line jai-alai bets and racetrack bets and offers a 20% sign up bonus and has a sportsbook rated D- by SBR.

again,

talk about further blurring the grey line about what kinds of gambling are legal in the USA. Some would try and say that on-line sportsbooks are illegal in the USA, what do they say about this then?

How did they make this fly in Florida during it's heyday? Were the games\booking on the reservations?

Sounds like one to stay away far away from ! If they actually book it, and bets aren't pari-mutual style, you could kill them with win bets by being at the fronton and very easily creating large longshots by betting one team at Dania to win ( large) and others online. There is very little money in WPS pools.

This has scam written all over it. I doubt locals book jai alai.

Tinnco, what do you mean? jai-alai in Florida is not on Indian reservations. It is 100% state sanctioned and taxed like any other business. No different than the horse race or dog racing tracks which are legal in Florida.

Thanks Mr. Smith-that's why I was asking. I knew that it had a long history in Florida, but never understood why "it" was okay when everything else was still off limits.

It was a Fla thing only at first. Came to Conn in 70's, was really only gambling available , except lottery and had novelty factor, and only one dog-track to compete with it. It was popular. I don't think Fla had any casinos back then. I know most Fla jai-alai has shut down. There were maybe 8-10 frontons at one time, probably 2-3 now.

lokking at betdania.com again, they have links to

sportsbetting.com ( an RX advertiser)

racebook.com

betonusa.com

and

euroofftrack.com

I cannot even imagine the heat someone like The Mirage in Vegas would get if they referred people to offshore betting sites from their website. Dania Jai-Alai is so small and believe me, not prospering, I have been there many times, I guess they are flying under scrutiny.

The people from Antigua should hear about this. Could only help there legal case. Dania is a Florida regulated business.

I remember when the back of the old MGM in Vegas (now Bally's) was a Jai Alai fronton. I went in one evening to watch a few matches. There couldn't have been more than 100 people in there.

Pretty tough to pay a few dozen players, plus clerks, etc. with a minuscule handle. I've played jai-alai on that court as an amateur. They'd let you play, for a fee, when not operating.
