I mean S Carolina is the better overall team, but as we saw in the tourney last year Davidson can certainly beat teams better than them if Curry plays out of his mind. It all comes down to if they play very let-down after not making the Tourney, or if they play like they have something to prove

Not only that South Carolina doesn't have consistent outside shooting, if anything play the over.

Davidson started out on fire and has settled down a bit. They are still pretty good, and the X-Factor will be Curry.
USC has had some let-down games recently but Davidson is a very good road team, Early in the year they beat WVU and were down by only 4 to OU. I don't know if USC is into this game mentally. I am leaning on Davidson myself getting 3.5 hopefully getting 4.5 to 5 closer to game time. Well OK, 5 may be asking too much.

Sorry guys but Davidson is not the same team they were last year, which is what people have yet to understand. Curry is pretty much all they have and South Carolina will face guard him the entire game. South Carolina ran into a buzz saw in Mississippi State in the SEC tournament, and lost to Vandy at the end of the year when they were shooting over 60% from the floor in the game. Shooting has been inconsistent the past couple games for South Carolina but I am pretty sure SC covers the spread quite easily tonight. They are better at every position than Davidson except for Curry, but I don't see him being a factor tonight.

PS you realize that WVU didn't have Ruoff right? Without Ruoff, WVU isn't the same team.. just like Davidson isn't the same team without Curry.

Like I said, S Carolina is the overall better team and the SEC is obviously better than the Southern conference, but he asked if there is any way that Davidson could win, and the answer for me at least is yes, I can see a few ways this game could unfold that could lead to a Davidson dub.

dlw, yes understand, but that does make the difference. I think Curry is enough of a factor that Davidson could pull it out, or maybe cover. USC to me is inconsistent and has not played well the last several games. Yes, Ruoff was out, but what was the excuse at OU? WW and B. Griffin both played in that one. I think honestly, who is going to bring intensity for the matchup. I honestly see the game being close and they can cover. I would of course like the spread to be 5 instead of 3.5

Well I've thought OU was overrated all year and still do... I could see them exiting very early in the tournament, likely in the 2nd round to Clemson. Arkansas, who finished last in the SEC, beat Oklahoma. I definitely think that Davidson could win, but I don't see that happening. Curry hasn't really had a good year at all... he's a great shooter but every game that he's been on TV and I've watched he has struggled. I just don't see him getting many shots unless he forces them so I think SC will win here. The Davidson role players aren't that good.
