Anyone watching The Deer Hunter on HBO2 ??

One of my favorites. Just started at 11:15, so there's plenty of movie remaining.

What a cast...Robert DeNiro, Christopher Walken, Meryl Streep, John Cazale (Fredo in the Godfather, Dog Day Afternoon)...all-stars, that's for sure.

If you haven't seen it, make sure you see it at some point in your life. I am extremely picky when it comes to liking movies (rarely go to the theater to see films or watch them on DVD/TV). However, this is one of my favorites. It is a great story, intense movie, fantastic acting...overall, a great film.

LMAO. Every time I hear about this movie I think of the scene in Jarhead when they are watching it in the mess hall and it turns into a tape of one of the soldiers wife having sex with another guy back home.

Hopefully you haven't seen Rocky & Bullwinkle, and those stupid comedy films with Billy Crystal when DeNiro plays the mobster going to a therapist.

You should see Taxi Driver.

IMO, I wouldn't waste time watching Funny People.

Personally, did not like A Bronx Tale and don't recall Cape Fear too much (though I did see it).

Mean Streets w/Harvey Keitel? Again, a movie I saw and don't remember much.

Although the movie wasn't Oscar worthy, I did enjoy Midnight Run. One of my favorite lines in any film comes from that movie.

I will check out taxi driver, and the movie where he playes the abusive dad is this boys life. I had to google it.

Taxi Driver is a classic...plus his character is from Fair Lawn N.J.
