I watched the Man woman thing twice last night because nothing else was on. There was some disclaimer flashed up like they get help if needed. So there is no chance a lion eats them with an Army to protect them.
The idea of throwing a halfway decent looking woman out there helps the concept. These shows should be pretty cheap to produce.
I think The Canadian guy ( Survivorman) quit. Man vs. Hotel guy got discredited somewhat.
Now some copycats. The barefoot guy is a joke, he's walking around in swamps with poisonous snakes barefoot. I watched that maybe twice.
I'll give the couple thing another viewing or two ( maybe).
It's all been pretty much done from deserts to rain forests to swamps, etc. Nobody that actually watches these shows gets out in the wild ( unless they have holes in their screens and some mosquitos get in), like having a Hummer that never leaves asphalt.
It kind of reminds me of that bug-eating show ( Fear Factor).
It does beat paying a Charlie Sheen two million an episode or whatever it is. I'm sure the barefoot guy works a lot cheaper. These survival shows are a fad.
I can see a more practical reality show developing....
Surviving the urban jungle or similar title....
